My GT2871 needs a rebuild and I'd like to try one of these 63mm billet comp wheels instead of the stock 71mm wheel: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271903453108?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT The seller says the 63mm wheel will fit the GT2871 shaft which is 112mm long (tip to underside of exhaust wheel). Ready to make the purchase but because I've heard Kinugawa sometimes have fitment problems (with braided lines not fitting mainly), I just want to confirm that the info I got was correct. Anyone know which turbine shaft the GTX2863R uses? Same as GT2871, or GT2860RS or something else? Thanks.

Some more info: the GTX2863R wheel is 27.5mm overall height, the GTX2867R wheel is 33.88mm overall height, the GTX2871R wheel is 34.63mm overall height (52 trim). So the GTX2867R wheel is only 0.75mm shorter and probably fits the GT2871R shaft. But the GTX2863R wheel is 7.13mm shorter so may or may not fit the GT2871R shaft.

Just buy a Kinugawa turbo and be done with it. Tom N has been running their 20g for awhile now.

My rebuild will cost half the price of a new core so don't want to go new at the moment. I read one of Tom N's threads though and he seems to have had a really good experience with Kinugawa which is good to hear.

So anyone fitted a GTX2863 billet wheel to their Garrett turbo?
