First you must ask yourself... "Why at the age of 27, am I getting my first 240sx?"

He is just giving you a hard time because of your late entry into the scene. Maybe you can start a paisa drift crew in FL with your new whip.

Lolz. But this is the age of spoon fed information. Where everyone asks "Should I buy <insert item here>?" seeking the praise of unknown souls and gaining internet cred.
Plus I see where one would assume the troll account. Less intelligent question presented by a Floridian. Almost seems to good to be true.

^ so true
but i will never understand why creating an account on zilvia, verifying the account via email, logging in, creating a thread, and waiting for answers is thought of before using google..

Serious? I mean isn't it obvious? Because they are to dumb/"lazy?". I use that lightly because like you stated takes more effort then to think for themselves and at least research it before posting. Common sense isn't so common in this day and age
Hell, I know jack shit about 240's compared to a lot of the people on here but I try my best to make educated decisions. And usually fuck it up.... poor wallets been put through the ringer.

S15 face on other S chassis is almost never cool imo, with few exceptions here and there of course:

All your example pictures are fail. S15 front on an S13 coupe is never a good idea.

These pull it off okay I think. Shows that its not a good idea to face swap s-chassis really.
Never said they were amazing

Here is my appraisal,
-car chassis worth $2500 if the frame rail and pinch welds are at least 7/10, MINUS the zenki front which is missing, so subtract market price for zenki front ends from 2500.
-engine is worth $1500 on a good day, if its really 90k like he says. Unlikely for an engine from 92', more likely he is making it up
-front end is worth $500-$1200 depends on how it was done. I dont like the way it looks (the craftsmanship of the mounting hardware, not the S15 front) tbh but I never do lol.
I see a $4500 car if it runs and drives like normal. That's the lowest price you would be able to pay in parts, and if you did all the work yourself to replace that car.
I also bet if you were to measure the heights of various points in the bumper/headlight mounting locations, their would be differences in the height from the ground, from driver to passenger side. Typically S15 conversions are done... poorly. Again I cannot see it, but you have to make a few observations about the rest of the vehicle and the choice of the engine to decide whether the owner put a show quality custom installation detail into it or not.
Points for a side mount, though. That also says something about the choices the owner made, i.e. couldn't afford a $800 greddy unit so instead of running to the $200 CRX racing FMIC on ebay- he went with OEM. I like that decision and if the thought process was used throughout the car, then the cost and value of the labor could easily make it worth several thousand more. My estimates here are all based on worst case scenarios i.e. you buy it and the motor blows the next day, and the front end falls off, with what you have leftover you could probably get all your money back still.

Im glad Im not the only one who is surprised by the stupidity of the post
And by the way, S15 Fronts are like ponytails

Man..this thread went off in a direction...
So things to look out for on a car like this, are basically anywhere the car was modified. As far as front end conversions go, this one is pretty terrible. Those fenders fit like garbage, as do the headlights, and be weary of the zip tied front bumper (they aren't cool, as much as the internet likes to tell you so).
Hopefully the swap wasn't done with the same amount of care as the bodywork. Check for leaking oil/coolant from all the obvious places (turbo lines, coolant system, etc). Look around for any signs of the engine being cracked open (repaired), signs like orange RTV silicone that shouldn't be, hardware that doesn't match, etc.
Basically, treat it as if you had planned on doing everything over. This car wasn't assembled by someone who put a lot of care into things. It was just slapped together and never finished. It's a project, far from a daily driver. Know that if you get into something like this, it's going to be a good amount of work to get it anywhere near presentable. The body looks to be indecent shape for a base model (4 lug), so there is potential. Good luck!
