hello i recently decided to endure in making my own chassis harness with some help from a friend who was supposed to know a lot about wiring. with that being said i am stuck on a problem i can't get the car to run starter turns it over but not even a sign of firing up. there is two plugs on the chassis harness that power the ecu i suppose this is where my problem is. I even spoke to yury at wiring specialties (thats where my rb25 harness is from) and he said there is only two wires needed from the large grey plug that i then hooked up and still no start. If anyone has any ideas let me know

Same thing happened to me when I cleaned up my wiring. It ended up being the grounds I would say double check your grounds.

Do you know the nominal resistance for continuity?

i mean on a side note I'm sure theres lots of things you do not know about so please keep the smart replies to yourself you can have a little chuckle over it whilst you talk to yourself about nominal continuity

Ilya i would ask you what a prusick knot is or a half hitch or maybe a timber hitch or how about a running bowline, I can even go on and ask you how to tie them and what they would be used for but lets face it not the average human would know all of that. A simple google search will prove helpful. See just because you either went to school to be an electrician and or you are an electrician does not give you the right to be badgering people just looking for some help. And if i get banned or booted off this site it will be ok because its just about useless because smart guys like yourself find humor in going around and ticking people off. Thank you very much

You can ask me all you want and I won't the answer to most things. However it blows my mind that people will try to do idiotic things when they clearly lack technical knowledge or a back up plan.

Idiotic things - n. doing something you have not even the slightest idea of what you are doing

"Oh that's how i learn going in head first"
that is true but learning requires at least 0.25 Magic points of ingenuity to find the information. We have the most of the human knowledge at our fingertips but goofballs like you have become so lazy and ignorant to even try to learn anything or even find something that is remotely related to use as an example to base you project off of.

Not only that, but you decide to continue doing something you have no idea about and when it doesn't work you run over to the internet a saying "it doesn't work, I don't know what I did" and you don't even give a f$&@ing reference to what all you did, what you tried, pictures.

You probably twist tied some wires with your buttbuddy, stuck the harness in and tried starting it and it didn't start. Did you even test the harness each step of the way?

Yes, this was common sense to me even before I was in high school. Peoples priorities in life blow my mind!

well guy i work every single day like the rest of the world what i lack is time to sit in front of a computer screen every spare second i have. And to that i did lots of research but because of people like you most threads i find are ruined by some jack ass with no common courtesy to just try and use there knowledge to help someone instead of try to look cool. i don't really care what you think if you read my original post my friend was supposed to know what he was doing, and he doesn't obviously. I wouldn't have attempted this project if i didn't have help in the first place for the fact that i have no electrical knowledge so how about you read the details of my post next time before you go running your mouth about how smart you are.......... Thanks for the great help

And here come the excuses......

Nothing justifies your lack of knowledge and stupidity except your investment in your self, period!

Don't use work as an excuse. Use your lack of self worth to better yourself each day with knowledge that is available to you for free.

Work is a choice, not an obligation, your self loathing is not getting you anywhere.

Do you have a multimeter? If yes, post a picture of it and I will walk you through what setting to use and what to do next
