I need to get rid of this car by August 28th. It's a grey 1989 nissan 240sx fastback automatic with front left damage (bumper, hood, fender, bumper support, radiator support). I bought this car originally to fix and use as a parts car, but I don't have the time or money to put into it, so now it's up for sale. The car runs and drives, but it recently developed a rough/shaky idle and I'm not sure what's wrong or how long it will last. This car is being sold as a parts car (I only have a temporary title; official one will be mailed to you when it arrives in the mail). There are many good and valuable parts left on this car (ie clean interior, right fender, wheels, hatch, spare tire, lights, radio, panels, doors etc), but I don't have the time to part the car out as I'm leaving for school the 29th. I definitely prefer local deals only. For more pictures and details, please go to http://www.homepagez.com/sngx83/89fastback/240sx.html . I am located in Clifton, NJ (5 minutes away from exit 153 on parkway). Price is $375, you could definitely make more than that amount by parting it out yourself. Please email at
[email protected] with offers and questions. Thanks.

Some good news for you guys: the title came in the mail yesterday, and it turns out that it's a clean title, not salvaged like the previous owner thought it would be. It's ready to be signed over to the first person who comes with the money. TTT!

"There is some kind of electrical problem which drains the battery (it's not the battery or the alternator), so a jump-starter is needed unless battery is disconnected once parked."
r u sure it's not the battery or alt? it sounds like it...
i may be interested.

Previous owner said that alternator and battery were replaced, yet problem still persisted. I'm thinking that there's probably a small short somewhere, but I just don't have the time to figure it out.
I really need this car out soon- the last "serious" buyer backed out. I'll even entertain trades (with cash for the difference) for an s13 catback exhaust (preferably N1 dual), white 180sx sideskirts, or aftermarket wheels.

I'm not sure exactly how old the gas was, but I assume it's not more than 2 months old since the guy who sold it to me got gas along the way to my place. I tried researching the rough idle but to no avail; it seems to be a common problem that no one really has a definitive answer to (could be injectors, distributor cap and rotor, timing problem etc). I'm back to school tomorrow, but I'll be home next weekend, so if anyone wants this they can come pick it up then. I have no experience with shipping out a car, but if you'd like to pay for and arrange for it to be done, then feel free to do so; I'll give you my address and Paypal account to send $$. I'm dropping the price to $350 FIRM (or $325 w/o the passenger seat), so please somebody buy my car!
