This is how i feel about asking this question :picardfp:

I searched, bumped and even started a new thread about this topic. I havent found a conclusive answer if it will work or not. This is my problem...

My front passenger side is sunken in about 5mm compared to my driver front side. However, my rears poke out about 5mm to my driver side. So, i will need 5mm on the driver side and 10mm on my passenger side. I had bought 10mm spacers from a friend, but it didnt come with extended studs. I also need 5mm spacers for the driver side. I plan on using extended studs for the 5mm. Ichiba sells 5mm spacers with extended studs that i plan on buying. Or i will just buy spacers and ARP extended studs. Just trying to kill 2 birds with one stone, if possible. If the risk is to high, or it doesnt work, will help me decide what my options are.

I am curious if anyone here has installed 5mm extended studs and used a 10mm spacer that had enough threads to torque the nuts?
I would prefer people who have done it and drove on it for thousands of miles to respond.

5mm is pushing it for a slip on. Put extended studs on all four wheels or just count the turns you get on the lug. 8 or more and you're good. Your issue is weird because usually passenger front and rear are sunk not cross ways.

Im going to see about going a different route about this. I still need to buy extended studs for both fronts and use both 10mm spacers i have for the fronts. Install studs, spacers and wheels. Then i will start unbolting the driver fender and see how much i can pull it out to make it look similar to the passenger side. This way, im not messing up the geometry of the suspension and i wont need to worry about me crashing, from wheels falling off the car.

I guess, this is a thank you, or no thank you for the help :gives:

Yeah, exactly. I think it was the body shop that fixed the front end and didnt align it correctly. It wasnt noticeable until i put on the wheels.

Stock studs are designed to be just long enough for the nuts provided with the car, using a spacer should always be matched with extra length studs.

I sell 60mm cromoly studs here: http://responsetype.com/shop/gazelle-s12/60mm-studs-13mm/

I believe stock studs are 41mm so these would allow you to have 3/4" spacers with the same thread engagement, obviously with 5mm only, you'd have tons of extra thread, which is only a problem with closed-end lugnuts.

As for your wheel depth variation, I recently encountered this with someone else, they had a bent lower control arm in the back, and visually it was impossible to tell the difference between it and a good one. Once swapped with a new arm from a junkyard, everything was normal...
