Hi guys,

I've got a 2008 350z that won't pass smog. Both the dealership and a local private Nissan mechanic have reset the computer and run the car through the proper drive cycles, but the Catalyst sensors won't report that they're ready for a test. Not enough information. I've put several hundred miles on it after a fresh reset, and no luck. No pending DTCs. Passes emissions just fine. I'm in Northern California, wondering if anyone knows where I could take the car for some smog assistance. BAR has been about as helpful as a mouthful of saw dust. TIA for any help.

Is your ecu modded?

Hey, sorry for delay. No, ECU is stock, as far as I know.

We found the problem. There was a crack in the driver's side exhaust manifold and it was allowing just enough unmetered air to get to the o2 sensor that it was constantly reporting an unready status. Major PITA.

Thanks for replying!

If you guys ever need smog assistance,
I know some friends that will pass any car in any condition (even ones that have failed).
They've been hooking it up for years! (all over cali)

Just need your car's information, current mileage, cash, and it gets done. No questions asked (you don't even need to bring your car).

They usually charge around $260-$300 though.

I'll hook you guys up, e-mail me at: [email protected]
