Do you have a photo of the compressor wheel? Any damage to the fins etc?
Does it have any serial numbers etc to verify that it's a 2871r?

Not to shit on your sale but the cartridge looks like it is soaked in oil pretty good and the intake side looks like it has more than a little bit of miles on it.

Was this ran on an engine that was not properly tuned possibly?

That what happens when you remove the oil feedline that has oil in it. And that's how the intake side looks when you have no oil catch can the turbo has around 5000 miles and the car was tunned, have you ever seen a bad turbo or a turbo that was on a car that wasn't tunned? If anything was wrong with the turbo trust me the exhaust blades wouldn't look the way mine do nor the intake blades. And thanks for slightly shiting on my thread.
