z24 transmission on sr20

can an early nissan d21 z24 trans be made to work with an sr20? i know i will have to change the bellhousing but i have my blown up sr trans to steal the bellhousing from and everything ive read says the z24 and ka24 trans are interchangable. I think it will work im just not sure if the gear ratios in the z24 trans are terrible or if they are somehow weaker than an sr trans

Just buy a used transmission for 200 and call it a day. Machine cost and driveshaft and stuff like that

Edit: just saw a pic of a 240 trans next to a truck trans and the truck trans is way shorter, the search continues.....

If anybody has an Sr or ka trans in Maine or New Hampshire let me know
