so I have a new engine, transmission, exhaust, coilovers, suspension arms, and bushings all around. Now it's time for paint and body.

Or the Origin Urban Line from Enjuku Racing

Or the Version Select Onevia Version III

Are these good quality kits? I like to ask the experienced. I'm trying to do it right the first time.

The best out of the three that you posted is easily Origin! I've had a couple of there kits and all fit Verry close to perfect with only having to lightly block the edges where the kit wraps around the fenders/wheel wells.

I'd simply advise not to get any of those darth Vader/aggressive kits since those are overdone! I like there stylish line.

Man, get that Duraflex and spend the rest on good paint.
Use the change to tip the ladies my man, but gangsta boogie don't touch the girls.

So dura flex is bad. Thank you.

I looked they are nice. I may have to man up and spend the cash but I live in a college town and drunk kids on a Friday night make me worry my $1600 kit will get smashed.

I'm looking at Origin and Vertex. I just found a website called TougeFactory and they have something called Charge Speed. Is that a happy medium for quality?

touge factory and charge speed

you really never heard of either ?

you better do more research before you buy a kit

what are you building ?

Man I came from a poor family and I left for the military. Did my four years and now I'm trying to go to school. Bought myself a new Corolla and I picked up this 240 for $600. I just like the car. Maybe drifting one day but my main goal is just a complete functioning car that I won't be scared to drive across the nation like my Corolla. I don't have performance mods just a bored out and rebuilt engine. New tranny. And slowly replacing everything. Last is paint and body. I just want to cruise. And not destroy my car like everyone else does haha

I'm new to the 240 scene. But all my friends drive subarus and Hondas and infinities. So I got hooked. The car scene in Cali where I was stationed was awesome. And now I'm back home in Texas in Houston and it's cool too. But I'm at school at Missisipppi state now and it's a small college town. So my friends and connects to what's good and not are non existent here.

Regardless, don't get duraflex

But tbh my duraflex aero doesn't fit too bad. But if you can afford other aero then don't even consider duraflex

chargespeed is excellent quality. origin is ok. version select is ok too.

duraflex is hit or miss. I have a duraflex kit and the skirts fit amazing, the front bumper fits ok, and the rear is soooooooo fucking far away from fitting. I picked up this kit just to see how it looked, and I'm going a different route. One of my friends got the duraflex copy rear fenders (copies of origin fenders)for his s13 coupe and they actually fit better than the authentic origin fenders that were already on his car.

For those prices, why not get fully polyurethane kit from Hiro Coutore? It's like factory bumpers and if you scrape or someone hits it, it would just flex. Urethane generally has a spot on fitment unlike fiberglass products so putting it on is easier also. Paint requires a flex bonding agent prior though.

Have you personally tried this kit? I'm asking because I can find a ton of good reviews on the origin kits. There are a little less but still good reviews on the charged. When I look up the hiro couture I hardly find any.

I am thinking you're talking about an S13 here, correct? Maybe I missed it. Hatch or coupe?

If you're going to spend $1500ish and are concerned about fitment and durability, have you considered OEM Nissan aero at all?

If you have a hatch then the late model kouki 180SX aero is an option. It consists of a front bumper, optional front lip, side skirts, rear valences, and a rear wing. It's all OEM so it fits really well with the correct brackets and won't get all smashed up if you hit something (in theory.)

As for the S13 coupe, there are some optional OEM add-on bits for those as well that were offered in Japan: the aero front bumper, side skirts, and rear valences.

Might be worth looking into based on what you're looking for.

One: I had my engine completely rebuilt

Two: I had my transmission completely rebuilt

Three: They were both done by professional shops

Four: I replaced my entire suspension with Stance Coilovers and did the full Energy Suspension bushing kit

Five: I bought non-janky Rota Grid wheels 17x9.5 +15 offset and nice Yokohama Advan Neo's

Six: I did all of the above through the research and guidance of Zilvia, 240SXForums, and NicoClub before I posted a thread

7: If you dont have anything else to say that is helpful then please just move on to the next thread.

So yes, I may be a "noob" (by the way 10th grade was quite awhile ago) but Im not cheap skating my way to build my car. I think everyone here sees this and that is why they are being so helpful.

Thanks everyone who has responded and helped out. Ive settled on buying either a Shine Auto, Origin, or into piecing a kit together for the 180SX look.

I ordered the Greddy Rocket Bunny kit with over fenders, diffuser, and canard, and all that stuff today. But was informed that it would take over two months to ship, apparently it comes directly from Japan, so I cancelled that order and will go this route. I also dont have crazy offset wheels so it would look kind of goofy. I will report how it goes. I like all three kits but whichever can get here first is the one Im going with.

Taste thing! No rear bumper vs rear bumper is just like rap vs metal.. :) I say that you definitely should go with authentic kit! My dad bought duraflex kit for his JZA80 and it had a medium- fitment. Parts did fit, but not well. He did a lot work to get a proper fitment to front bumper and sideskirts. How about BN Sports kit? I have not tried to find authentic one so I don't are they easy to get, but you should give it a look!

I mean that you should say no to knockoffs if possible. :) Knockoff will never be good as authentic. I think GT-R Garage sells BN Sports body kits if you want to check them out!

I literally block sanded and primed my Xtreme Demonsion fenders 3 times before they were even considerable to paint. This doesn't include the amount of bondo and fiberglass that were needed to make them "okay" to fit on the car. I can say that if i were a professional body shop, the cost to mend these fenders in man hours far exceeds the cost of buying quality fiberglass to begin with.
If you want fiber that will forever look trash, wavy, poor fitting, disposable in a single event. Go ahead and buy cheap aero, fleabay bay stuff. But honestly wreck them in your first event because after that you fell victim to the game.

I bought a 1991 Nissan 240SX Hatch 5 Speed today.
She has 178k Miles.
She is getting rebuilt from the bottom up next week.
She is going to be my toot to college car.
Eventually an engine swap but for now NA unless you have suggestions.
She has had one owner, an elderly lady, who sold me the car.
It sat for 5 years.
Possible slave cylinder out, pedal goes to the floor but doesn't return.
Stock compression is 9.5:1 but if I decide to boost later I could right or should I drop to 9:1. I'll be NA for awhile.

Compression Test:
Cylinder 1 = 120psi
Cylinder 2 = 40 psi
Cylinder 3 = 110 psi
Cylinder 4 = 120 psi
