does any1 know how to get the s13 flip up light to rise half way with the lights on??
i can do it with the lights off by hand turing the moters
i saw a probe with them half way up and the lights on but i can figure it out

Why do you ask?  I think that they might have had the lights half up for a crappy ram air thing.  I have seen those mods.  Mabey his was just broken.  
The headlight motor is supposed to be all the way up or all the way down.  If it was broken, it was probably the gears.  They are usually plastic and strip pretty easily.

It's called a "sleepy" look and they have a little thingy that connects to your lighting system that will control the motor. You can adjust the height and all of that stuff and it costs $90 shipped. I forgot where to get it though. I say it's a waste of money. It looks broken witht them halfway up. But that's only my opinion.

The typical reason ppl do that to 240's (s13's), is a drifting thing. Everyone's seen the air intake light cover, it's just taking it a step further. You can get a manual potentiometer that will control the angle of your modded, light (thus changing the way air flows towards the intake). I've seen vids where guys open the light to allow the most air flow in as they enter into a drift to give a momentary increase in HP/PS to break the wheels free faster.

Dunno how much doing that actually helps, but that's the premise as I understand it. I've got a sneaking suspicion that it's more for show/bragging than much else.

They are called pivot light controllers.  Go to 240sx.org and click on the group buys exterior section.

I would think that if you just turned the motor manually and head the headlights in the "up" position (the little button on the left of the console, right above cruise control) that when you turned them on they would stay put.  It might get tedious if you did it every night and didnt want to leave them up in daytime hours.
