View Full Version : my new custom fabbed ultra hi performance insignificant part

okay so my accordian tube going to the throttle body tore open yesterday whilst lifting up on the long plastic tube stretching across the fan shroud. this prompted me to ask my good diesel mechanic friend for some parts to use for a decent repair. he whips out a 3" turbo pipe and some clamps etc etc... hours later i've custom fabbed the most insignificant part i could possibly build on my pissant 140hp stock motor. it was an opportunity to practice welding so... here's the shizzle:

Ford uses very nice intake couplings and clamps, I've got a set I snagged from a dealer waiting to go on my car. Of course I'll turn then facing down.
