View Full Version : Rare color s13 worth?

I just bought a 1989 240sx, 100k miles amd automatic, doesn't run but easily fixable. So obviously i put a pic on instagram with a #240sx, and i got a comment from some 240 guy saying the color was extremely rare. So i researched it and its called the purple gray pearl, and is in great condition. It's also the coupe version, which showed up as only 16 made in that color. So the main point i was wondering was what was something like this worth on the market? As a teen guy i want something that i dont have to worry about keeping in pristine condition so i was gunna flip it after i got it running. So any ideas on what its worth?

btw, Purple Gray Pearl only came on 1991 models, 1989 models got a rare purple color called Lavender Frost, they made 234 of those.

Confirmed with OP. Car is #LG1 - Lavender Frost. Very rare, only 234 were produced. All were 1989 models and all were coupes only.

Problem is not very many people like the color, however there are people out there looking for this color so it can boost your selling price if the car is in pristine condition.

Thank god that is not factory 5 speed or I would have made a series of very bad decisions. LOL.

Rare, yes, but I don't think it makes it any more valuable than a comparable car of another color.

Depends on who is buying I guess. Rarity always has a price.

Wow. At least he's finally come down from the 10k original asking price. That car's been on the market at least 6 months
