hey folks.

i wanted to share with you my build.
whats the fun of building with nobody to admire your hard work.

once upon a timee. in a land farr far away....
just kidding.

im comming out of san jose ca.
I first purchased my love on jan 1 2015.
ive had several s13s before hand but i aimed for a coupe.

i picked up a 91 240sx with 200k miles on the chassis and a rebuilt engine. apx 50k. paid apx. 3400. im the 3rd owner.

then i had to decide what i wanted to do with the car.
i thought of swaping for ca18. then sr20. then rb25 then ca again. etc. you know the feelings right?

in the time being i decided to get some coilovers.
i went with bc racing BR type. ive had good experiences and track time with previous sets. slammed the car to a decent height.

moving on...
few weeks later i decided i needed wheels.
i bought some cheap 5 lug wheels and then proceeded to buy 5lug swap.

i picked up JNC wheels for 500flat.
Size: 17x9 20et 215/40/zr17 nexen tires.

then she sat like this for a while. i picked up a megan 2.5in drift exhaust. some voodoo13 tension rods. and tein inners, moog outters.

then within the last few weeks i decided to pick up a engine.

i went with something i havent seen here in the bay.

toyota 1uzfe. its comming out of a 92 lexus ls400. 200k miles reallly clean inside. but dusty from sitting. i checked compression. i checked plugs. berrings. etcc. everything seemed okay so i took her home

and currently im doing the basics. water pump. timing. gaskets. etc.

ill keep you posted when i get my engine ready to droped in.

I have that same shitty engine hoist...dunno how heavy the 1uzfe is...but if it's near same weight as rb26 with rb25 trans good luck getting that thing in the car with it. Car looks good...try not to shit it up.

all i need now is to put the timing belt on. and shell be ready to drop in.

I didnt have any issues pulling an rb and trans with mine. Nice choice in motor, love my 1uz.

Idk if my ram was just awful or what but it wouldn't pick it up on 1/4 ton without tipping over and it wouldn't pick it all the way up on 1/2 ton...not enough clearance anyways. Had no problem pulling the ka with it.

hey girls. i got an updatee.

so ive been busy with work. you know the deal.

anyways. i got a few parts. finished the refresh. and now just waiting for my radiator.

harness is marked and ready to install.
mounts fit perfectly.
flywheel and clutch all fit.
pilot bearing aswell.

i decided to paint the valve covers GM aqua met.

so i know its been awhilee. work suckss.

anywayss. i pulled the ka. droped in the 1uz. and got it running.

pulling the ka
-this was pretty easyy.
-also removed the powersteering lines. and cleaned the bay.

dropping the 1uz in

few notes to the kit.
-i had to use washers to level the engine because the mounts.
-the engine kept moving arround when it was fully bolted. got really annoying.
-ON THE TRANSMISSION. REMOVE THE WASHER ON THE PIVOT BALL. if you dont the clutch is always touching the throwout berring.
-i wpuld recomend changing the tranny mount to sommthing harder.

once everything was lined up. it was bolted down one last time.

after getting everything done. the wiring wasnt that hard.

i used the ls400 wiring. so it doesnt use the eb1 and eb2.
it uses IL1 And the ecu plugs.

5 wires and i was driving.
a few more and the cluster was working.
-speedo was good
-temp goood
-rpm good.
-cel

not too hard.

yess there is a few wires for the cluster.
1 for tach. black wire comming out of il1
1 for temp. yellow with green comming from il1
1 for cel. yellow with red comming from 26pin from ecu.(same plug for batt)

I got everything buttoned up. been driving the car for a few weeks now!

with the 11lb flywheel. street driving sucks... i peel out at every light. and the acel is amazing. i spin 18s through 1st 2nd and start of 3rd.

i got new wheels. 18x8 215/35 and 18x9 225/40
advan model 5.

they fit real nice. but i will be looking for baller wheels later for shows. for now they are perfect.

NEXT UP

Im picking up new lca and i will have them extended.
also picking up offset tierod spacers. to help out.

im going for a drift stance in front.

picking up overfenders. spacers. body kit. and i will be in paint hopefully by end of the year.
