Im looking for anyone that has a z33 trans adapted to their sr20det.

Ive had this combo for a couple years now. When I first did the conversion I used an os giken twin disc. That clutch didnt take the abuse and when it came time to rebuild os informed me the rebuild kit was more then the cost of the clutch. So after ditching that pile I picked up a comp twin. Almost immediately I noticed something was wrong with it. After taking everything apart I discovered that the engine side disc only had half the width of the splines engaged on the input shaft and had stripped the splines.

Now after examining the input shaft versus the standard sr 5-speed I notice that there is less splined area.

So my question is simple. To those of you that run this trans. What clutch are you using/ have you used and did you have any problems with spline engagement. Im scared to purchase another 1k+ clutch and have it not work.

not sure if its the same as a Z32 transmission
but I am using a Spec twin disk clutch for a sr20det with excessive engineering conversion kit with a Z32 trans.

I doubt its the same as far as input shafts are concerned but just out of curiosity how do you like that clutch in terms of drive-ability?

I ended up having to go back to an os giken clutch. I didnt want to risk buying another and being stuck with something that wouldnt work.

From what I've seen OSGiken are the only twins people have used on the z33 trans. But all of the single disc clutches work fine.
