ok, i am doing some slight reconstruction on my s13, removing my a/c, heater core, all that fun junk, replacign the dash, and my hud with a non hud b/c hud doesnt work. i am also hooking up some cheap-o aftermarket sunpro guages, a water temp, oil press, voltage (gay, but came with pimpy 3 pack) and a little gayosauraus tach, heres my questions

1) I have removed all the plugs from the crap i removed (a/c, heater crap) , do i just leave them unplugged? will it hurt anything? i know its a n00b question but ive honestly never had a car ive done this to.

2) Where is the wire for the tach, i searched a little, didnt come up with much. what color is it / its on the distributor correct (splice and go right?)

3) My oil press guage, wheres a good place to put the sensor thingy for it?

3b) wheres a good place for the water temp thing , i have heard the factory one sux and theres a better place to put the sensor or something?

4) wheres a good place to wire the line into for the light up feature, i figured since one set is a 3 guage cluster, and i can run a wire under the dash since its all out to the cluster, i can just run one line off the cluster ( tach will be wired into cluster lighting ) , but where do i run it to? only need it on when parking / head lights are on, so where would yall reccomend / what color (s) are the wires

1) Plug up anything left open, especially related to A/C and such. Just for good measures.

2) Depending on your gauge, you can use the ignition coil to get signal for the tach. I have pictures and instructions on hooking up an Autometer tach:

3) I have an Autometer mechanical oil pressure gauge. Once again I have a writeup on how to hook it up:

3b) I have an Autometer electric water temp gauge. Here's a bunch of pics (too lazy to do a writeup) with enough detail to do your own:

4) Dunno, read the FSM (factory service manual). I'm sure there's a link somewhere on Zilvia.net

Read my instructions. Not that hard to follow.

For the mech. temp gauge, the concept is similar, if not exactly the same.

For the tach, like I said, read my instructions. The gauge needs a signal source and that you get from the negative coil wire.
