How long did you run the motor with the knock?

One time. Last owner let someone test drive it and it was over rev'd. Guy blew the motor and caused knock. I bought and towed to my place. I started it to hear how it ran. At idle you can't hear knock, runs like crap though, its not until you go past 3500rpms.
