whats up. i just got back from out of town and i let me cousin use my car while i was out. but now my car is leaking oil and i dont know from where. he just changed the oil and took it to the beach. on the way back he said it started to "click" and it started to smoke. he pulled over and the oil was empty and oil all over. the oil light also came on. but as i am looking at it i dont know where the hell the oil is coming from. i checked the filter to see if he left the old o-ring on there, but it wasnt. the pan is all oily, same with the sway bar and tranny. the thing i think that is interesting is that the head is pretty dirty too and when i looked at the crank it was pretty soaked where the belts go into the ribs. maybe a front crank seal? i have pics but they dont do any good. let me know where to start. thanks.

Yikes, I hope nothing got fucked up but whenever the oil light comes on its BAD BAD BAD, like zero oil pressure. I don't mean to sound negative but you are probably already screwed.
Yes its most likely your front seal leaking, its behind the crank pulley, very common and very dangerous, replace before you drive it again! The oil is leaking from there and your belts and fans are blowing the oil everywhere.
Good luck

i was about to say ur oil pan gasket blew, but that wouldn't explain the head.
it could also be the head gasket, it may have just blown through the front of the head.
is it overheating at all? burp the coolant and see...
if not, the front seal is the culprit. leaky front seals tend to be nasty and annoying.
sometimes seals fail because they're installed wrong, not lubed properly, or are damaged. worst case scenario is that the crank itself may be worn...
if the car has been used with excessive crankcase pressure for awhile, be sure to check the other seals. it might not just be the front. it could actually be leaking from the back too and dripping down to the front somehow...

well i filled up the motor with oil and tried to start her up. when it cranked over all i heard was a cluck cluck cluck. after i gasp'd at wtf that sound was, i tried it again. this time it wasnt so bad. it made a single cluck and started up. steady idle, but i turned it off quick because of that sound it made earlier. when it turned off, it made that cluck cluck sound. i looked under the car and there was tons of oil on the ground. im pretty sure its the front crank seal, but i dont know what the fuck that cluckin noise is. any ideas?
