Looking to sell a pretty oddball car I purchased about 6 months ago. I have a 1983 RX-7 GSL, fully optioned, IMSA appearance package, and dealer added louvers. The car sits just shy of 40,000 miles presently (it is my flawlessly functioning daily driver, when I can't be riding a motorcycle that is).
I am the third owner of the car, the previous owner, who only put ~2500 miles on it, bought the car from its original owner, an old man from PA. The car lived its entire life up to me in a garage, seeing little rain, and no snow. The underside shows with zero rust, corrosion, or wear. I have had absolutely zero issues with the car. Has new water pump, ~6000 miles on new tires, shocks, and brakes.
The IMSA package is a factory appearance package that consisted of removable "targa" sunroof, stainless steel targa band over the roof, and IMSA bumper and 3 piece spoiler. In addition the car had a dealer optioned rear louver installed. Otherwise, it is a carb'd 12A GSL (leather trimmed interior) with cruise control and air conditioning (both work as any 30k mile cars should, perfectly). Interior is flawless, with the only change being a modern stereo (original stereo was included and will be conveyed).
The car is not a museum piece, it has small rock chips, some very mild dents here and there (of the scale you either don't see for 3/4 months, or that a paintless dent repair place could have dealt with in minutes), and the wheels have some mild corrosion from brake dust. That said, I have looked far and wide, and examples of first gen RX-7's of this mileage are commanding some astronomical prices (selling and asking), and I have yet to see another fully optioned IMSA car, with such low mileage, in such fine shape anywhere. Most comparable cars are either base models, or zero option GSL cars.

Pardon the few pictures, I just took those last two after wiping leaves and pine needles off after some rain. More pictures to come soon.
I am looking to either sell the car, or trade to get some of my equity out of a vehicle that deserves to be someones gem, and not just an everyday commuter (unless that's how you choose to use your collectibles, then power to you!)
Asking 9500 for the car, and I feel that's immensely fair given then rarity of its options, mileage, and condition, when compared to the current market and the few minor cosmetic faults it has.
I am also open to trades, but for a very narrow variety. I want to get into something every bit as clean, reliable, and worthy of everyday driving as this car, not a project, a race car, or anything otherwise. Trade value I would prefer to be seeing in the realm of 10,000 between cash and car together.
Email and text will find me faster than commenting will. Please no calls unless absolutely necessary.
