What's up guys, new to the 240 scene, thought I'd post here and show you guys my new ride. 1995 240sx se kouki with red top sr20det swap and a whole bunch of other goodies lol. The paint is 3 months old, virtually no rust, and 15k In reciepts from the swap. Just an overview of major mods - built bottom end, Garrett gt2860 turbo, blitz intercooler and bov, megan coilovers with swift spring upgrade, chase bays tucked wiring harness. Many other suspension and engine mods, too many to list right now. It's a very clean car. Traded it for my iffy condition wrx as I really wanted a clean car. Just a few questions since I'm the newbie here. The interior is in need of touch up (new carpet and floor mats, new shift boot, new dash trim, and getting the seats re upholstered.) Any recommendations on where to go for trim, carpet and floor mats? Also will be taking the tranny in for a 2nd gear synchro. planning on doing them all while it's out. Any input on things to look out for, general maintenence with the sr20 etc. Is much appreciated! Link to photos is below!

Welcome to the forums.

As for interior trim, you can still get alot of stuff from the dealership. Try http://www.courtesyparts.com/ they have alot of OEM stuff.

Mats, you can search the forum for DMAX mats or OEMs, Z1 motorsports sells OEM replicas as well.

As for the SR, they are pretty reliable, make sure you do your oil changes with good filters. Make sure the car also has a good tune. Gaskets and such can be had at courtesy parts or ebay, but most gaskets on the motor can be made with grey rtv.

Nice MB battle wheels btw. Dont turn it into a drift slut please

Lol i know that the previous owner drifted it alot. One of them is pretty curb rashed sadly. But yeah he said he had a ROM tune or something of that sort. Is that good or should I go with something better? I really don't know much about 240 tuning, only subaru lol. Help me out here

More questions. Thinking of them as I go lol:) it's 3" straightpiped, and it vibrates everything inside the car, which gets old:D who knows of an extremely cheap exhaust that will quiet it down enough not to vibrate so much, but I won't be butthurt when it scrapes on the ground on every bump. I don't want an expensive exhaust that's just going to be trash on the bottom after a week of driving.

Just get a big resonator welded in.

Enthalpy rom tunes are good. Pull ecu and look for signature on cover that's a giveaway that its been tuned
