ok I have scored a free big brake up grade off of a friends sil80 front clip. i need to find out what the brakes originaly came off of though. they are not stock silva or 240 cause they are bigger. They are not 300zx they have one piston calipers. the rotors are approx 11 inchs big and are 4-lug--they were not redrilled---and the piston for the caliper is bigger too. the pads are also larger. infinity q45 or whatever is also out as they (from what i understand) have 2 piston calipers. So if anyone can list common brake upgrades the Japanese would do it would be helpful. thanks I will try and figure out the rest

Most people on here are pretty good at being able to spot a specific brake with a pic....i would suggest getting a pic on here and that would help zilvians ID your brakes...

They are stock 180sx brakes, which are slightly larger than the 240sx/JDM Silvia brakes.

In USDM parts, it consists of a Maxima caliper and an Altima rotor. Not sure on the years, early 90s for sure, check the search for more info.

great thanks. A trek down to the local napa and I can see if the pads from a maxima will fit .
