Hi everyone im new to this forum and I just bought my first "Nice car" the other day cause I found it for $1200. Only ive never had a jdm car or any cool car really so I was wondering- If this was your car what would be the first things you do to it?

A guy who lives not far from me has an R32 Skyline (And a 750hp Honda Civic...:coolugh:)... He offered me the engine from his Skyline which is an Rb20det making 575hp for $2000 so ive been thinking about undergoing the swap however I am unsure still. My new S14 has 85,000kms on its Sr20det engine and 5 speed manual trans, also has a heavy clutch and light flywheel. Several other things but nothing major too such as Tein coilovers and Work wheels, NRG steering wheel and a sparco seat, as well as a huge cannon exhaust (Apexi? Idk.. its got a japanese logo on the muffler). Body is in decent condition but im very open to ideas on what to do with it now as I want to have some fun and possibly make some build threads! Please let me know what you think and any advice is very appreciated! Sorry for the low quality Iphone photos!

Do your research like everybody else.. Find out what look you want dont buy a car and start asking people what they think and what they'd do to it, it's your car it should be your decisions.. but if i were you I'd get rid of that nasty ugly front bumper and spoiler..

Step 1. Go to hardware store buy everycan of flat black paint
Step 2. Go home and paint car flat black
Step 3. Remove engine and trans and wiring
Step 4. Put the car on craigslist

A new hood for sure. That looks like an HVAC floor vent. If it were my car it would be put all back to stock body (jdm or usdm). Go through the car and do maintenance items. You probably have a power steering leak somewhere, maybe fix an odd oil leak, new brake pads, brake fluid, etc.

I'd start by getting on zilvia and making a thread. I'd ask for opinions on what to do. I may even mention my buddy's 500hp dsm or his 1000hp mustang. I'd wait a couple days to come back and read the replies. Then I'd immediately go park my car in front of an elementary school, roll the windows down, and blow my brains out while sitting in the driver seat.

Thank you for the serious replies, I appreciate them very much. Ironic how I post on a forum trying to figure out what people do to these cars to make them cool then find out their typically owned by douchebags lmao.

Its kinda sad that I cant ask people for advice and have a good car conversation on a forum made for it.
Guess i've got a lot to learn before I finish highschool still....

you know what else is on this forum? build threads... read them to find out what people are doing. or Google your exact question and find tons of threads with this answer " fix it, drive it, suspension, drive more, add power, drive more." You will learn more about what you want to do to your car by driving it, than on any forum.

Most users were driving 240's before you were born.
We like to converse about cars and motors and all things s/z/r chassis related but "wut mods 1st" isn't typically a conversation that anyone would want to be a part of..
240 owners aren't really douches (aside from hoonibro missile lyfe) but when you ask really dumb questions, we post really dumb answers.
