I just recieved my stainless steel braided clutch line in the mail and I'm itchin' to put it on. (Hoping to get rid of my slightly sloppy clutch feel) What type of fluid do you guys use? The FSM recommends usind DOT 3...but which brand do you prefer?

Also, I read in a post about bypassing the clutch damper box with the new clutch line...what does this accomplish? a stiffer pedal feel? Where is this damper box anyway??? :duh: I feel like an idiot.

Thanks!

Valvoline SynPower is what I use.

Damper box is located under the car. It's where the hardline connects to the hydraulics underneath the car. My pedal didn't feel stiffer when I bypassed it, I can just feel a lot more vibrations in my foot.

valvoline stuff. Its cheap and works fine for a clutch line.

Bypassing the clutch dampener made the process of bleeding the clutch a lot easier (and saved me from spending extra money thinking my clutch problem was my slave cylinder, when it was really air stuck in the dampener).

Oh, and I use Valvoline stuff
