View Full Version : No compression test?

I found a distributor where I can get a pretty good deal on SRs. The only thing is they don't do any compression or leakdown tests prior to selling the engines. From what I'm told, all the engines have between 15,000 - 40,000 miles on em. How important is having a compression and leakdown test before buying an engine? Is buying one without it a big risk even if it has low miles?
Thanks

2500 for clips, 1200-1400 for engine sets.
Yeah I'm kinda iffy on it unless they'll do a test.
As for knowing the mileage though, it's no different than any other distributor unless you buy a clip.

not really... just go with the trusting companies that get good reviews on here. which are phase2, jspec, heavythottle, XAT, amongs others, just use the search button and goodluck.
