so, i have a bit of a problem.
i was driving the other night on the freeway goin about 120. and it started smelling like something was burning so i let off. and i got home.. it still smelled like something was burning. i shrugged it off let my car cool down.. and went to bed. next morning i went to start the car to go somewhere and it was hesitant to start.. but it started.. and smoke started coming out of the steering column. i suspect its a wire burning. but im not sure. ;\ if you guys could help out that would be great.

another problem would be if i clutch in, right after revving, the car drops rpms below idle and it feels like the car is about to stall. but the rpms go back up after a bit of shaking.

Not sure about the burning. It could be anything. Smell around.
The stalling could be a vacuum leak.

FOOLZ....hahaha...what a name!!!
The burning smell is probably a wire burning alright. Could be due to too much amperage being drawn thru the wires heating them up & causing the plastic wiring cover to melt...NOT GOOD!!
You need to find that wire & replace it ASAP before you short out your ignition or ECU or worse, catch your car on fire. Once you find that burnt wire, then you need to trace that line back to the fuse that is protecting it & swap the fuse to a lower rating. Fuses are there to protect your wires from drawing too much amperage down the line. When too much amperage is drawn down the line then the fuses should blow. Check all the wiring on that fuse & make sure all the wires are tightened down properly. A loose connector somewhere or an exposed wire can cause your wires to heat up & melt.
Anyhow good luck with the repair. You're gonna need it!!

PS:
Oh... and if you don't already know this, doing 120 mph on the freeway is a BIG no-no

You could get slapped with a $500 dollar fine AND a 30 day license suspension along with the insurance company raising your rates or cancelling your policy. However should you continue to drive that fast on the freeway, make sure you always keep your driver's license or some sort of picture ID in your pants pocket. It will make the County Coroner's office job a lot easier identifying your body.
