Rocket Bunny Ver 1 Bad Quality

I figure I would let everyone know how the quality the AUTHENTIC Rocket Bunny version 1 kits are coming now.

Last year summer i bought the rocket bunny side skirts and flares and they came in great condition, the fitment was amazing and no defects what so ever on the pieces. they were literally just drill the holes for the rivets, paint them and install, nothing else needed for them.

Now here is were everything went downhill...

Back in Decemeber I ordered the Rocket Bunny front bumper for a reputable vendor from here who told me its on back order and i wont receive it for 4-6 weeks.

I recieve it 4 months later and the fitment and quality is HORRIBLE now. Theres patch jobs all over the bumper and the front area is bowing upward.

aside from the patch job on this pic look also at how sharp they sanded the edge but the rest are contoured to a nice curve.

look how horrible the gap is between the hood and bumper. I had to spend a week and half working it upward to get the gap acceptable

Overall im really unhappy. It seems they have definitely changed their manufacture of whoever is making these bumpers. For this headache and for this long wait I could have just bought the replica and had all these issues to deal with

UPDATE 5/6/2015

after some email exchanges with 240sxmotoring.com, i found out last night that the bumper that was sold to me did not come from greddy. The return address on the box shows touge factory and apparently i was told "greddy owns the rights to 1 style of the rocket bunny kit" so i was confused and asked where mine came from and told that my bumper came from "rocket bunny usa" http://www.6666customs.com/main/

I asked if i could get a refund and they havnt responded yet and most likely wont.

I was played for a fool and im warning everyone that if you want a rocket bunny kit just get it straight from greddy as i should have.

I bought my flares and sideskirts from them and they were perfect. I thought it might have been fake but this bumper has the same sticker as my flares and sideskirts and 240sxmotoring.com doesnt seem like the type of people to do that

Greddy or an authorized greddy dealer is the best place to buy one. I know some of the other companies got clearance to make the rocket bunny kit and sell it as genuine. Greddy is the only one selling the "authentic" mades ones as far as I know.

that guy is dominican, i spoke with him and asked if i can fly down there to see it person first but he refused. (I fly for free)

240sxmotoring is an authorized greddy dealer but that does make sense of other companys becoming authorized to make them as genuine. im posting this up to try and help avoid of what happen to me to happen to others

The only way to buy "authentic" Japanese made Rocket Bunny is to buy it from GReddy. Rocket Bunny is now direct retail only so be very careful of who you buy from if it isn't GReddy. If you have any questions. Feel free to ask me as I am THE Rocket Bunny guy at GReddy. John is correct. I am not going to say who or the details. Its a good chance what you have there is "licensed" but not authentic. The entire wholesale market on this was a mess which is why we decided to cut the nonsense out and sell direct retail to protect all of you guys.
Ill just say this to finish up here. If you don't buy from GReddy... It's probably not authentic.

Wow this sucks, I have bought from them before and Jeff was a great customer service guy and never had problems with anything except this. I dont know if this was intentionly sold to me or not.

Jeff is a great guy and I deal with him on a regular basis. I honestly think it isnt the fault of a lot of these guys. They are in the same boat with you. It is being sold to them as "real" I wouldn't hold it against them too much. But people should be smarter in this industry. At least by now. Don't beat him up over it.

TF sales/service has gone way downhill since I dealt with them for anything. All I hear are shipping errors, terrible communication, looooong wait times etc.

yea he definitely didnt know it was junk because it went straight from touge factory to me. but im taking a big hit because im pretty sure he will not reply and give me a refund.

But for 675 shipped for this junk? I could have gotten the replica for 375 shipped and had the same issues to deal with and i would have accepted the problems due to its low price. i shouldnt need to deal with these issues if im paying $300 more than replica

My buddies Rocket bunny kit coming straight from greddy. Heres a pic of the front bumper. IM GOING TO REPEAT IT AGAIN GUYS, BUY IT STRAIGHT FROM GREDDY IF YOU DONT WANT TO GO THROUGH WHAT I DID.

After talking to a person from touge factory they told me that all there bumpers have that bowing in the front.
Like seriously? ! Such horrible quality for that price. If you want good quality and don't want to go through the headache I went through get it straight from greddy

That's crazy. Had to double check with the place I recently placed an order from in SFV last week just to make sure it's directly from Greddy. The guy assured me it's direct. But once it arrives best believe I will double check the items before I take off from the place. Thanks for the write up.
