About these taillights. Do you have to replace the lower panel? The normal 240SX lower panel and Kouki look the same. IDK. Does anyone have some input on this...

Yes you need the lower panel, the kouki panel comes out at the top about 3/4" further.

It's also slightly more curved where it meets the lights.

everyone seems to paint the lower panel...does anyone have pictures where the lower panel isn't painted?

You can fit the lights without the lower panel, but there will be a very noticeable gap. Remember when getting the rear panels, to also get the parallelogram-shaped reverse lights. Also, you'll have to hardwire the lights in, unless you're fortunate enough to get plugs with the set.
