So I'm changing my current setup, and would like to see what the general consensus is.
The setup. Fresh rebuild SR20det, Gt2871RS, 264 cams Greddy manifold, FMIC.
Goal, 350-400 HP, possibly more with second motor i have, but that is in the not so close future. I would like my setup to be able to handle and 800 HP LsX if i choose to go that route in the future. I would also like the be able to use E85 as well

Use of car, Mostly weekend fun, Autocross, some drag and maybe even some drifting.

For Fuel delivery Im refering to the pump, the lines, regulator and rail. Not so much injectors, for all intensive purposes.

So stock setup is 5/16" feed and return line.

im planning -8 feed (1/2") and -6 return (3/8") aluminium lines. With a dual feed to the rail and single return to the regulator. So -8 line to a "Y" block, then 2 -6 lines to each end of the rail. The middle of the rail will be the -6 return to a Sard FPR.

The Rail i have is a Garage D sidefeed rail, that has 3 fittings.

i will also be welding on fittings to the fuel pump hanger to get my -8 and -6 feed and return.

Current pump is from a Q45, but looking at Bosch 044, and a surge tank setup, with a stock pump as the lift pump.

Thought?

I would say a fuel surge tank would be a good idea if you're planning on doing a 800hp LSX in the future. As far as E85 I've heard of people running it on regular fuel systems with no problems and heard of it corroding everything.

-8 Feed
-8 or -6 Return
Aeromotive FPR
Injectors of your choice (preferable anything above 2000cc if you are doing E85
Twin Bosch 044 dual hanger setup with surge tank

Go hunt 800HP LSX

Most of all the parts ordered, Hopefully the rest will be here soon.

-8AN (1/2") aluminum hard line (feed line) -6AN (3/8") aluminum hard line (return line). Tube Nuts and Sleeves, as well as all the associated hose ends and fittings.

Yeah most of the e85 fuel stuff will need to be coated with a non-corrosive layer. So your stock fuel tank would need the update OR you go with a fuel cell with a hydromat.

If I didn't buy my external swirl pot, I would have gone with the hydromat.

As per fuel amount, I don't have any idea on LSx 800hp but you are going to need a top notch ecu as well.

Good to know about the coating for the tank, my stock tank is brand new from nissan. i will look into that.

The comment regarding the 800hp LSx was for illustrative purposes

800hp on E85 is tons of fuel. Your bottleneck is in the stock barbs off the factory sender. A surge tank will certainly make it easier. I'm currently building a fuel system for my L33 to do e85 and ~850-900whp and what I'm looking at may be close to the limit even.

I was planning on running a radium dual pump surge tank (unsure on pumps but thinking dual AEM E85), fed from and returned to the stock tank by -AN to 5/16" barb adapters (on the surge tank to match my factory sender) that way I can use a simple flexible rubber fuel hose from tank to tank (this is a low pressure environment as the lift pump (in-tank) merely needs to free-flow fuel into the surge tank at zero pressure). From there each surge tank pump will feed a rail individually tying back into the FPR and being returned from a single hose to the surge tank which overflows back into the stock tank.

Should be simple to implement and effective.

i have weld on -8 and -6 feed and return fittings for stock sending unit. the actual tube on the sender will be 1/2" as well.

If you have a s13 and want 800hp why not just sump the tank and run dual Bosch 044's or an aeromotive a1000 or a magnafuel pump?
