That's what I always think too when I see pictures of him wearing that... he's escaped!! :mepoke:
I've got an old VW jumpsuit that I wear occasionally, got it in an ultra-huge size back when I was 14, now it fits me perfect. :D Usually though I just wear regular clothes and wash them with a ton of soap and all the stain remover crap I can find in the laundry room...

At v6performance.net, all the moderators and contributors have costm V6P.net mechanic shirts...its pretty pimp how they all represent like that
I'd love a Zilvia.net one

my genuine technician uniform consists of:
$4 tshirt from wall-mart and pants that have more holes than wisconsin has cheese. these pants are so worn out on the thighs that the denim is about to literally disintigrate.
for real, why buy new stuff to get messed up when you have plenty of old stuff that can become BRAND NEW as WORK clothes.
i'll bill you for this advice later on.... get your check book ready.

I bought an old '80s Nissan work shirt on eBay. it looks sweet as hell... I don't wear it while working on the car though.
Working on the car, just get some damned coveralls. :D

Check the phone book for Overall or coverall sales and cleaning -- they probably have used ones for sale (usually in great shape) for super cheap ($5-10). Here's the place I got mine from:
www.montgomeryoverall.com
Pros:
-- 1 pair of Jeans and a T-shirt will easily cost 3x as much -- even if you purchased them from the evil Walmart corporation.
-- The dark blue hides dirt and grease pretty well.
-- Easy to clean.
-- You look more like a mechanic than a homeless guy when you are working on your car.
-- You might be able to fool some people into believing that you actually know what you're doing!
-- Good coverage: no more oil dribbling down the crack of your ass (unless you are into that sort of thing).
-- Tough material means that bad chemicals, hot metal shavings, etc do not come in contact with your skin.
-- They're kind of comfortable. Ask your ex-convict friends!
-- No loose swaths of clothes to get caught in moving parts.
-- Easy to customize. There's a spot above the chest pocket that you can put a name tag on.Latino/Hispanic (like 'Jesus' or 'Jorge') are great if you are not Latino/Hispanic. Caucasian/WASP names (like 'Todd' or 'Biff') are great if you are not Caucasian/WASP.
-- Very easy to take off and put on. Make sure you go large with these. In the summer I wear boxers underneath (calm down) and in the winter I have a layer of warm clothes on underneath.
Cons:
-- As someone else noted, you might be mistaken for an escaped convict. A name tag or shop name/logo on the back helps.
-- It's hard to express your individuality (except with an ironic name tag).
-- They can get a little warm when the temperature climbs.

c'mon West...make it happen! can't let the ACCORD forum have cooler stuff than us
I searched with no luck, any help finding a maker for the shirts and I will start getting them made. I might have to contact the admin of that site, but I doubt he would help.

West, if you just find a place that could make patches, we could sew them on whatever we want; coveralls, work-shirts, hats, boxers, small furry woodland creatures, etc., etc..... :bowrofl:

patches would be cool. any embroidery shop could do it couldnt they. then get some kind of unmarked mech shirt, not sure where you would get it those. have you thought about the color scheme? i was thinking grey with red. i dont know why i think its because i saw a nissan patch the other day and it looked pretty damn good. just a thought.

grey w/ black and red trim , a nice zilvia logoacross the back...that'd be spiffy...
the site is www.v6performance.net, i dont know of all the car sections have it, the meet I went to was specifically the Accord section (one modetoaros name is MoMoney i think)
