I have one. I think they are a bargain, and the last feature pack (e85 sensor & automatic adjustement once mapped, launch control based on speed) makes it even better. Software is easy to use, there is good support from its creator/maintainer.

It has drawbacks too, the main being based on the OEM ECU so it has the same mcu power limitations.

Your question is quite vague though.

^ This guy pretty much nailed on the head of what I was going to say.

Ive had 2, and recently got the latest feature pack. Nistune is easy to use, easy to install, and probably the best bang for your buck.

If you've got two sitting there why aren't they on your car already!? haha

You might want to compare it to NismotronicSA (http://www.nismotronic.com/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=29) before you make a decision, especially if you want to switch to speed-density (MAP sensor instead of MAF) down the road.

The question is "why would he want to do that".

From what i understand you are the main developper of this EMS, so your opinion is a bit biaised, and your post looks more like an ad than anything else.

And i don't see you being a registered seller on zilvia...

My post was only a suggestion to evaluate alternatives, not an opinion.

Nismotronic has been a registered seller on Zilvia since 10/13:

Nismotronics other big thing is the fuel ignition is 20x20. Stock is 16x16, comes in handy when your tuning. Nismotronics only works with the Redtop SR20 and not the S14 SR so it has that draw back.

That's right, Nismotronic currently runs on OBD1 ECUs (redtop and blacktop) and supports S14 SR20DET (OBD2) with a step-down harness and OBD1 ECU.
