View Full Version : Harbor Freight
So i believe through my experience that us 240 guys can make a meet out of anything, whether it be standing around in a parking lot, video games, movies..or helping eachother fix cars. So if any of you guys need tools, i'm making a trip to Harbor Freight in Newark this Sunday, the 15th. Cheap fools like me need cheap tools..we always find ourselves working on things without the right tools, so i'm borrowing my uncle's truck and making a day out of it. You cant go wrong here..perfect for a backyard mechanic like me. If i break something, i can just go buy another one. They got everything from mig welders(200 bucks) to air tool to air compressors(160 bucks). 204 piece socket set for 99 bucks. Sure sure you hardcore guys can keep your snap on tools, but i'm just too cheap to dish out 200 bucks for a ratchet wrench since i only work on cars a couple times a month. Also if anyone is willing to Host a Gran Turismo drift competition that would be tite(i can do it at my house if you guys bring the playstation and the game).

i like the store.
i had one of my ratchets from them break and they replaced it on the spot.
If anyone hasnt been there, HF f00king rules. 12" Torque wrench and 24" breaker bar for $24, cant beat that.

harbor freight A!! what time you guys plan to meet? maybe i can pick up a 24" breaker bar, clicker torque wrench and maybe a 1/4" air ratchet
i'm sure you can find all those things there will..They are open 10-5, so let's meet up there at 12pm. 5 hours *should* be enough time to shop. If you guys wanna meet up somewhere i'm down. Brian for GT3, i dont have ps2 or anything. Maybe we can get a friendly game going somewhere and setup a serious competition later.

oh yeah they have a website too!!! haha www.harborfreight.com
Ya Newark wasnt so great. I bought some stuff but i came home and ordered more stuff off the net.
Aluminum Floor Jack..80 bucks
204 piece socket set 99 bucks
Impact and Ractchet air tools with 12 sockets 45 bucks
Super loud 135db air horn 13 bucks :)
There was a small 40 piece socket set (1/4 inch sockets and 1/4 inch ratchet) that i thought would be good to keep in the car. It cost like 4 or 5 bucks.

http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?vertical=TOOL&pid=00933354000&bidsite=&BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&subcat=Mechanics%20Tool%20Sets
they have a pretty inexpencive jack with jackstands also

craftsman is better..it'll last you longer and sears are more common than harbor freight. stick with it.
