Swapped in a freah ka24de an about a week later, got a check engine light. No smoke at idle an somtimes not at "take off" either. It mainly billows out if I do a quick rev or one long rev after sittin at a traffic light for a couple minutes, kinda ilke its building up in the exhuast, then gets pushed out wth the backpressure? I onno, any input would be cool. Not losing any power an car pulls really strong.

Did a quick search on the Net & came back with the following:

Are you sure the smoke is white or is it a light blueish color?? Have someone start the car while you are standing in a position to see the tail pipe and see if much water comes out with the smoke. When the engine is cold, you will have some white smoke coming out of the exhaust. That is water condensation from catalytic converter as the engine warms up. Once the engine warms up & you still have white smoke coming out the exhaust, check your coolant levels in your radiator. If you have been running low on antifreeze, I would say a head gasket. If no water, and not low on anti freeze, then check your oil levels. You might be looking at worn valves or valve seals or worn rings if you are burning oil. Chances are it may be one of these two items. Good luck!!

all things I am afraid of,but put aside since the smoking started when the check engine light came on.Figured it to be a sensor, maybe o2 sensor? Car runs mint,no issues of overheating so it cant be a head gasket an I beat the shit out of my car,so its got plenty of chances to over heat. Thanks for the inpute,I am afraid it coud be rings but not losin any power an once again,I dont believe bad rings woudl trigger the check engine light. :aw:

check your antifreez for oil and vice versa...smell inside your oilcap for a sweet glycol smell

if so you need a head (gasket)

I thought overheating is a sighn of a bad head gasket?

Checked the coolant just now,its not even green lol! Its kinda of a mucky red,but not oily in color, smell or texture??? :bash: oh,just smelled my finger now that its dried off an its smells like coolant.
