s14 rack & pinion

Where can I get a good remanufactured s14 steering rack and pinion? Looked around and see them on eBay only. I did find rack doctor.

I dont know if I trust them or eBay. And I cant find none at the local junkyards.

Just get an s13 rack from rock auto works fine with s14

I just bought one from rack doctor 3 weeks ago, mine worked fine. Easy to deal with and already got my core refund.

They sell for 300 on eBay ...but thee core is 300 so swap it quick or buy a junket to send back

Well i ordered one from rack doctor. The female attendant I talked to was very knowledgeable. She said the s14 are usually hard to keep in stock since nobody returns their core so they can build off it. The s13, however are plentiful. The rack came in and looked nice. Everything was bolt-on and fitted. The rack has been working well.

I just got one through Phoenix Rack & Axle in AZ for 160 bucks. Also they have HICAS racks, but won't sell them if you don't have a HICAS core to send in :(

UPDATE: The rack has been working fine all summer and after about 6000 miles. I'd still recommend them to anyone.

@ viper: Were you able to return it in the box the reman rack came in or was it self packaged?? Did you have to pay return shipping??

I paid extra for a return label, which wasn't much imo. And yes I did put my old rack in the box the new one came in. You have to make sure there are no more fluids in there.
