every tuesday there's a medium sized car meet over at fuzion on clairemont mesa blvd. it starts at 7pm. it's near the cheetah's, diagonally across the intersection. alot of us are going tonight, iono if anybody else is going, but i hope to see alot of 240's there!

Just got accepted by UCSD for winter 2005. I am wondering how's the cops down there? Are they really ticked off on SR ?? I mean do they care much about SR swaps? Not in city here but dunno about San diego

well the ppl above understood me clearly. UCSD = a unversity in san diego. The buttom part is asking if the cops really crack down on SR's, like they know this SR swap well and look for 240sx with them in it... I am gathering info to see if I should take my 240 down there or sell it =(.

you must be driving around with your eyes closed if you have never seen a cop in la jolla, and to answer the topic, yes, the cops know what SR's are, and you will get a ref ticket if you get caught with one, dont drive like a jackass, and make sure you got your shit together, ie front plate, up to date reg, stock looking motor and you should be good, oh, and refuse to pop your hood.

I see cops all the time in La Jolla, especially UCSD. Yes, university police officers do pull people over on campus (theyre not there solely for campus security), I've seen it happen several times, notably near the Voigt-Hopkins intersection.

Even UCSD parking services (the guys that check for unauthorized parking) may be a problem for you should you choose not to obey the law. For example, parking is free to the public on weekends. I got ticketed for no front plate on a Sunday afternoon and I had a valid parking pass. These guys have the power to cite any CVC violations.

campus police are funny. up here at palomar, the raod that runs through campus is one way, and there was a "high speed" chase going the wrong way. yeah and watch out, San diego, and oceanside PD are the ones that i hear the most stories from. i have been had by OPD a few times, damn the harbor patrol!...

Hey I'll probably stop by after work ..around 8:30...cause I work right up the street...I drive a black kouki S14, I dont know anyone yet, I just got my 240 about a month ago. Do any of you guys go to mesa? I seen a kouki with JDM bumpers and a couple kitted 240's and one with an S15 front..nice.

hey i go to mesa too! The s14 kouki with jdm bumpers that you saw was probably mine, unless there's another one i dont know about! Mine is black with R33 gt-r wheels. The only other 240 i see on regular basis is gleb's car. The s14 with the s15 front that you saw, was probably his.

Yeah thats the one I saw. Really clean, I wanted to go JDM too but I like that the kouki lip too much, so its on the way. Yeah theres a black zenki with a front kit and cf hood, and a fully kitted burgundy colored zenki. I drive the black kouki with gunmetal 17's. Are you guys fusion regulars on tues? And who do you take your car to for repairs?

Hmmm, black with gunmetal 17s...i dont think i've seen your car yet, but i know i will eventually. You'll definitely love the lip when you get it, pics just dont do it justice! I used to have it on my car before i went with the jdm stuff. Nice choice though, kouki with lip rocks!

Anyway, I havent been to any of the fusion meets, reason being i have my church youth group on tuesday nights and i dont like to miss those, but i may go to one of the meets one of these days. As far as repairs go, i either do them or my friends help me out. But if its something major that i dont have the tools to do it myself, i take it to F&H auto repair in spring valley. Ask for Fadel, he's a really cool guy. Anyway, see ya around school!

i go to mesa too, i drive a burgundy s13 fastback with a primered silvia front, racing hart C2's on the rear, SE wheels on the front. i never park in the parking lot though, so i don't imagine you've seen me parked in there.

the tuesday meets at fuzion are basically dead now, too many 240's started going and every other non-240 car started not showing up anymore. the last few meets have been pretty dead, so we need to set up a new meet soon.

They still happen, Last time I went I didnt see any 240's there, a lot of 350z's and wrx's so I took my stock azz out of there. It's on clairemont mesa blvd across from cheetahs, small lot.
