Ok so I've been looking for a RHD 240sx SHELL For a while now, haven't had best of luck ,
Anyone here know any other sites or something that will help me find one faster
- If I don't find a shell soon I'll go with buying a rhd clip and doing conversion ,
Would you guys says firewall swap or just drill over stock lhd firewall to make it work ? Which one would you say is better ?
Thanks

If you are willing to do something as intricate as convert to RHD, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a good fucking job. Do not do a hack job, or just "Drill over stock firewall". You are going to make swiss cheese of that LHD firewall.
There are plenty of people who have done RHD swaps, read up on their stuff, how they did it, and copy which ever method works best for you.
Search on here.

I suggest you keep looking for one that's already done... simply by asking the question "just drill over stock lhd firewall to make it work" is enough to prove you have no business doing this conversion. Let that idea end right there.
If you look in the cars for sale section you will find a very well done, car already converted to RHD the right way, its an original Two tone, it been repainted and is for sale as a shell...user name "motteram" location Dallas Texas.
I you so choose to not heed sensible advice...by a complete front clip and swap the entire firewall, then spend some time and lots more money finding all the RHD specific parts to make the car a rhd swap car... driver door specific switch, panels, center console, uncut chassis wire harness, HVAC system, trunk and gas lids cable and actuator...

To get the car driving rhd, all you need is a firewall, steering rack, column, pedals, and dash. You can flip the dash harness to make it work, but if you want a clean swap with everything to work as oem, it's a lot of work. You need everything under the dash, both wiring harnesses, hood latch cable, hatch/gas lid lever and cable, etc.
Drill the spot welds on the firewall, don't just cut it out. Trust me

Why would anyone ever want to do this?
Is it really worth all the effort just for that JDM feel? Because if you're such a purist and adding some JDM stuff to your car doesn't do the trick for you, why would it be any better if your steering wheel is on the other side? It's still a USDM S13, not a 180SX. Wouldn't importing a real one work out cheaper and easier?

Do it right or don't do it at all.
So many RHD hacked firewall cars on the local CL that are totally un-sellable.
Even if done right do not expect to get any money back out of the car should you sell in the future. Most people won't touch RHD with a 10' pole just because of all the garbage that is out there.

Wow some of you guys are straights savages on this forum, yes things like this should be done right , but do it right or don't at all contradicts almost every 240 out there that has zip ties or any hack up job. There are 180 out there but I don't want a car without title , rhd is something only few people like , it's not for jdm it's because rhd and we like it.
I won't be doing the conversion a local shop will so they know how to transfer firewall , I was bassicly asking what is better lhd configure or rhd firewall , kinda obvious but wanted to see what other people have done before.
