I was messing around the other day, and got the car to go sideways. Well actually I do this a lot. But this time the car stalled. I had a really good slide and I was on E and then the car just stalled out. I think I know what is it but just to make sure I'm not missing anything I was wondering if you guys had any thougts. I'm pretty sure it's cause my tank was almost empty. But not sure.

check your power steering fluid level. drifting on e, sounds fun

Funny you should mention that cause I'm leaking PS fluid, found that out not to long ago. Why would that make the car stall.

fuel pump? one guy had a problem with this...whenever he would slide a certain way his car would stall because of a bad fuel pump

apparently s13 has a fuel slosh problem, when my car is near E it will lose power drifting. but some gas in the car shoudl solve your problem, mine does the same thing.

well hasn't happened again but I have gas in the tank now so, oh well, maybe just a fluke.

momentum + low fuel = fuel pickup problems. physics, the more you know!

dont go sideways?

mine does the same thing, its not the FP but rather the gas tank is dented to hell so the pump doesnt pick up the lowest part on the tank anymore, so when i get to E, im screwed
also when my gas light comes on, i have like maaaaby 1/5 gal.... not much time to fill up

maybe you guys should make it a point to fill up at a 1/4 tank instead of when your cars start studdering from fuel starvation, it will be better for everything in the long run, running the pump dry will wear it out because the pump uses the gasoline to cool the motor, and also lubricate the bearings.

procedure 10 - engine stalls when turning...
1. check fuel level
2. disconnect each injectory harness. is there a cylinder that doesn't make the idle drop?
-if so check fuel pressure (34 psi with fuel regulator connected, 43ps when not)
3. check injectors
4. check ignition spark.
5. check fuel pressure.
-----
check ecu pin terminals.
check ground circuit and power supply.
(rarely the cause but good to check anyway)

yeah uh, keep gas in ur car, its that simple.

now what in the hell would any of this have to do with drifting? :duh:
