***EDIT***Carfax report attached in post below***

***EDIT***Carfax will show 2 owners, which is most certainly not the case and is a technicality. I purchased the car out-of-state in CT (Suburban Subaru, Vernon, CT) when I was 23 years old with the help of my father with him co-signing. Because I was 23, young, and stupid, I didn't plan the insurance situation out correctly prior to going on a 2.5 hours road trip to the dealer and my father had to put the car under his name last minute at the dealership in CT. So, initially the title and registration was under his name and we had to wait two months to receive the title to transfer ownership under my name. It's difficult to remember anything anymore prior to having 2 kids, but, rest assured, I'm 100% the original owner. That's all this is. I will scan and post my original receipts from the dealership when/if I can find them. Also, there is plenty of evidence of me owning this car since 2003 right on www.iwsti.com and www.nasioc.com ****

HISTORY
What can I say about this car? Since I'm the original owner, I have nothing to hide and know the history to the T, which I will share with everyone here (you can also search my post history). For me, the way it's setup now is the absolute perfect street STi and the way the STi should've been released from the factory. It's not slammed into oblivion and never was. Zero clunks. All the new, stiffer mounts do add NVH, but it's just the right amount and driveline lash is at a minimum without going full solid mounts. The car rides beautifully. It also shifts just right with all the shift linkage bushings addressed. Never ever grinds, never abused. The conservative tune and power is seamless and has been since being tuned by Clark Turner. Power is immediate and keeps on pulling. The S0-4 tires are fantastic in the rain and dry.

The car was garaged most of its life and was my DD only for a few scattered years during its 12 years, hence the relatively low miles. It hasn't seen the snow/winter in more than 5 years. I had one of first 3M clear bras installed on the car in 2004 and just took it off last fall because it was getting a little fugly. Talk about a PITA, but the paint underneath is practically brand new. I have yet to take off the clear bra on the side view mirrors, as you can see in the pictures.

I did have a 20g EWG turbo setup on the car for approximately 2 years (from 2006-2008) that was also tuned by Clark Turner and made 350whp/wtq on a UTEC piggyback EM (these were the ***** back in the day for all you youngens). I had him make 3 maps for me since I had the map selector switch that could store 5 maps. The 350whp/wtq map was my 'aggressive' map (which still wasn't that aggressive), then a DD map (probably ~320-330whp/wtq), and then a 'valet' map, which pretty much castrated it. Funny thing is, I never valeted my car once. Ever. With that said, I ran in the DD map most of the time. And this may seem like I'm totally blowing smoke out my ass, but during this time I barely drove the car, which can be seen in the Carfax report. I had returned to school and purchased an E30 for my DD commute, and quite honestly, as cool as the power was, I wanted to keep this car for a long time and decided to go back to a stock turbo setup with a conservative tune due to my own unnecessary paranoia. That was done in 2009 (dyno sheet is below) and has been running that since (opensource tune).

The car is currently on it's 4th strut/spring/coilover setup. It would've only been 2 had I not decided to upgrade to brand new 5x114.3 parts for the easier servicing, and more robust bearings, as well as better wheel choice.
5x100 setups were JDM pink springs then KW Variant 3's with RCE camber plates.
5x114.3 setups I went with KW Variant 3's again with GC camber plates front and cusco plates rear and finally now a full JDM S204 suspension. Yes, it's really a S204 suspension with Group-N top hats all around. The front sway bar and end links are a relatively new addition as well. Every single suspension pivot has been replaced with the exception of the front LCA's. There isn't a single nut and bolt that hasn't been touched on the suspension and I always put a dab of anti-sieze on fasteners so it's not a royal PITA to remove them in the future.

The car was never autocrossed or drag raced. I did about 6-7 HPDE's (track days) during the 12 year span. Once on the 20g setup on the conservative map. All major service is done and this is basically a worry free car, IMO. The exhaust is completely catless and uses a mechanical O2 sensor fix and has never thrown a CEL on me. You can see the list below.

The only thing I don't like about the car is the Exedy HD clutch. The weight of the pedal is nice and heavy, but it does chatter and doesn't like tight p-lot type maneuvering. I should've gone OEM in retrospect since it doesn't need to hold much torque on this setup.

The Defi oil pressure sender also needs to be replaced. It just died on me last year after 11 years of service. I haven't done it yet because I think they are ~$200.

There are minor blemishes on the rear bumper from a jack ass rear ending me at 1/4mph because he was on his phone about 8 years ago. On the front right fender corner where it meets up with the bumper there's a spot that needs a laittle touch up. Then the light staining on the passenger side rear door card is from me tossing a can of chlorinated brake cleaner in the back with no back seats installed in the car and it got punctured and, thankfully, only started spraying down that small section on the door card. The very light curbing on the wheel was from the previous owner of the wheels. The stain on the grill insert is a sad story as it was a bird that I didn't know I hit and roasted there in the sun on a hot summer day. RIP...

This.

This is how you do a for sale ad. Also, I can never ever sell my STI until this is gone because why in the hell would anyone buy any blobeye except for this exact one. Ever.

Excellent price too OP.

lol, thanks man. I always try to price things realistically/to sell. I think it's a good price as well. Plus, I'm not sugar coating anything here unlike multi-owner cars where you get "I was told by the previous owner, that the previous owner was an old lady who shifted at 3k rpm all day, everyday."

Added a VIN# also.

CarFax shows 2 owners (06/20/2003 - 08/11/2005) and the current owner. Perhaps you took a loan out on it so the "bank" owned it for a period? Explaining to potential buyers may be helpful.

Can verify car is Clean CarFax and a New York car for life. No signs of dishonesty there! Good luck to the next owner, car looks solid! GLWS

No, this car was never in anyone else's hands, I promise. Re-check the carfax for me, that should be 8/11/2003, not 2005.

I purchased the car out-of-state in CT when I was 23 years old with the help of my father with him co-signing. That's all that is.

edit: I just purchased Carfax I'm not sure why the report is reporting a different owner in 2007. Maybe I transferred the title under my name then? I can't remember sh!t anymore after having 2 kids. But, rest assured, I'm 100% the original owner as my father co-signed for me back then. That's all this is.

Thanks for that as I had forgotten about it. I will update the main thread.

I figured it was nothing but a technicality, but in case someone else ran the VIN that's what comes up. Now it's cleared up!
