Does anyone know any companies that sell a hood prop adjuster? For those who haven't seen the look I am going for, basically the hood looks partially open (about an inch or so gap) near the windshield side of the hood. Yea, there really isn't much use for it (it does act as an air vent for stock hood) but it looks pretty unique.

You can purchase the "adjuster" at Home Depot, look for something called WASHERS.

um just remeber while you in the process of doing this "mod" theres a reason why the hood shuts all the way on the back of the hood (closest to the windshield) there are hooks and there are brackets for the hooks you know what there for ? they are there to keep your head from getting chopped off in the event of a head on colission so... just keep that in mind while your doing this "mod"

^^^ Huh?
Hood is held on by 2 12mm nuts, that's all. (EDIT - 2 per side)
No special hook or safety device that I know of, and I've had the hood on/off too many times to count...
What do you mean? Is this something you found specifically on the S-chassis, or is this a universal thing?

i would expect the hood to crumple before being able to slice your head off.

Yeah, I seem to remember those little hook things when I replaced my hinges. I don't see how putting washers underneath the braket would make it that much different or unsafe though.....either way, there's no reason to do it.
but it looks pretty unique.
I think it looks like you couldn't get your hood to close properly or something=ghetto IMO.
And how is it unique? It's not new or rare....
