Hey guys, I tried searching for "AEM" under the archives, I went through quite a few threads but haven't found my info.

I'm meaning to buy an intake(for my 91 s13), and was wondering if the one by AEM is the best out there. The short ram AEM, that usually goes for $200bux. I remember going to a site that was trying to boost their DE, and it said they got 6rwhp from the AEM sr.

Or should I just settle for one of those $50bux intakes on ebay? I'm trying to boost my DE a lil till I get my SR. So my focus has been intake, cat, headers, exhaust, fan, etc. Basically stuff that I can shop around for, and keep within a 1k budget. Cuz I can always sell the stuff later, and get some pocket change for my SR. Since so many still have their KA.

On another note, I take it, it wouldn't be wise to purchase a CAI now that winter will be coming soon? Should I just stick with the short ram, since summer is almost over?

Your intake will be useless when you get your sr.

Just go the ebay route unless you will not be getting the sr for a long time.

Injen makes a really nice unit as well.

it is a freaking AIR FILTER, dude. just pick one cause they're all really the same unless you're wanting the kind that goes in your fender or whatever. jeez....

if you really are getting an SR, don't waste your fucking money. The KA works fine with no intake (just remove the resonator piping).
