I got ticketed tonight for having my front windows tinted. I know I can remove the window tint, get my ticket signed off, and pay the $10. My question is, is there just a fine I can pay and not have to get it signed off? I'll just take the risk of getting ticketed again because if it had to come off, I'd re-tint it again anyway. I'd rather just save my time and just pay a fine if it's not too expensive. Anyone know? And how much it is if possible?

ur gonna have to show them ur car or show them a picture of the car with the tint removed. photoshop comes in real handy now. u cant just pay a fine and thats it since it will still be illegal after u pay

Dunno about the photoshopped picts but you have to show the proof that the tint is removed and then an officer signs it off.

*jumped the gun lollers* but i still don't agree with tinting anything in your immediate vision. seeing to the side is still important. there is a reason for laws like this and its not to keep ricers in check with frivilous tickets.

It's a matter of comfort for me. I have 20% in the back and 35% in the front. I've never felt like it interfered with my ability to see at all. Even at night, to my surprise, it really transmits light really well. Almost as if there wasn't any tint. If I ever felt like it interfered, then I'd take it off immediately...

I guess it depends on the cops mood... they can check correctable or not.... How much was your fine?

I think it'll be cheaper for me to take it off and re-tint. O-well.. I've been wanting 20% all the way around.. so I guess now is my chance...

If I was a cop and I had to approach a car with all its windows tinted I would approach:
Gun drawn.
