S13 sr trans in s14

As the title states I have an s13 in an s14. My speedo was reading double and after some searching I foud that I needed to install a s14 vss. So I did and the gear. No my speedo does not work and I have used a new wiring connector on the sensor.

something is wired wrong on you have a bad speed sensor. which one did you replace ? should be the one on the passenger side of trans at the very rear IIRC. when I put my s13 blacktop in my s14 I had to swap the temp sender and the speed sender due to both reading double than it should.

Go over your work with a fine toothed comb. It appears it's something you did.
And if you had researched you would have known the vss is chassis/cluster specific and probably learned the thermistor is chassis/cluster specific as well. Just saying:cool:
