Hey, I'm looking to upgrade my clutch for drifting. (which i do a lot) But not too sure what to get; what do you guys use? Also, is it even possilbe to consistently drift in a twin plate clutch or is it just wiser to get a strong single which gives more drivablity which in turn, easier to control the car while drifting. Well, any help would be greatful. Thanks

I use an single iron disc. It's seriously the best. Seriously

I have a single that handles over 600hp. I dont drift, so I do not know if it is "suited" for it. I know it is basically on/off for me. What kind of clutch would you need? soft or hard? i Dont know how clutch engagment will effect drifting, but then again I'm not into that so I may not know what I'm talking about.

Single or double isn't really the issue. It's more about what you like. Depending on the brand each clutch feels it's own way. Most people do find that singles are easier to clutch kick however.

I just use the dynomax clutch, it's pretty bad but does the job for now.

NISMO p.p. and single disc. grabs like a champ, no problems thus far after +10 drift events. i dont daily drive my car, however, prolly contributes to the life of it.

watch it slip next event, ill be uber pissed.

most people are happy with ACT, my friend is happy with his exedy, most people say dont get centerforce for imports, and my other friend is using a ram clutch which is HELLA strong. ACT offers different ranges of performance. How much power is your engine pushing? If you're doing like stock ka or stock sr, get the street/strip disc and get a stronger pressure plate so it will have more clamping force when it engages.

btw my sr has an act street/strip setup, and it feels really good. I just got a street/strip for my KA also and it's a huge improvement over stock, even though my stock clutch was still in good shape when i swapped it out.
