i have a 180sx with a amount setup with a sr20 but i miss my rb20 and want to put one back in. so i need anyone with a rb20 motor to measure how far the motor comes out from firewall in a s13.

so measure from firewall to the front of motor and let me know please.. i hope it will clear my Vmount. thanks

Well my rb25 is very close to the firewall, 2 inches of room and with my radiator I can't have e-fans on the inside unless I trim my core support. Not sure if that helps

thanks but I'm looking for the actual distance from firewall to front of motor not how much room between motor and rad support.. and rb25 def won't fit in mine its been tried.

it all depends on what mounts..

The rb20 and rb25 engine are basically the same so it should fit? The trans are different so the firewall needs some love.

Custom engine mounts is what you need

No it won't the RB is a longer motor than the SR. If your bored with your SR do a VVL head swap. What you don't know what it is? google it.

Who would give up an SR for a RB20? That's like the most useless Nissan engine ever. Seriously, I'd rather have a stock KA than a rb20.

If you feel like your SR is hurting for power, invest in an s15 spec r turbo, 264 cams, 1000cc injectors and get an Enthalpy tune for E85. You'll get 300+ hp/tq with virtually no spool time with that vmount

A stock rb20det in a s chassis is faster than an Sr in a s chassis stock for stock. That's not useless.

A short stroke, Rev happy engine is the most useless ever?? You're ridiculous.

I will get you measurements tomorrow
