Hello Zilvians,

I was wondering if anyone has ever put a s13 DCC into a s14.
Reason being is just because I personally think that the s14 dcc is very bland and quite ugly and the s13 dcc has a nicer face and just looks a million times better.
So do anyone know how to go about this and if so post some pics and pm me so I could as you some questions about this.

Thank you in advanced!

i'm sure it COULD be done, but you would need a lot of wiring information to be able to make the s13 unit able to command the s14 accessories.

The S13 DCC is also smaller than the S14 DCC. You'll have to make a plate.

Your question is too generic and that makes me think that you did 0 research and put 0 thought, which leads me to not even want to help you.

You are contradicting your self here. If you have no idea what you are getting your self into, then you probably should stay away. If you wanna know how to do it, well then do it. If you want someone to spoon feed you on how to do it, then you are in over your head.

"oh but i know how to solder and follow step by step procedures" Wouldn't it be nice if google had step by step instructions to life.

You are not going to get any more information from the internet then you would if you really sat down and thought about the project yourself. Yes you will need to connect some wires, yes you will need some sensors, yes you will need to learn how to read a schematic and yes you will need information on the actual digital climate control unit. If you didnt know that, you are welcome.

Plus at this point you would be trusting the internet over your own observations and if you are at that point in your life I wish you the best of luck.

Ask technical questions. Get answers. Research the answers. Apply your findings.

Oh really? You need to have sensors and connect wires?? I thought it just buy the dcc and it magically installs itself lol.
Yes I did research I know how to put a s14 dcc into a 14 and a 13 into a 13. I know all the sensors you need and where they go and how to install them. I never once asked for step by step directions.
I was asking someone who has done it for some pics and I was gonna ask them a few questions, not step by step directions regarding the installation. I don't want to waste my money and or mess up stuff in my car if I can't do it.
It's not like I asked how to install one. I asked if I can put a S13 dcc into a s14. So if you aren't here to give some input on the installation then please don't waste your time. And maybe before accusing someone of not doing research ask if they have done any and if they haven't then you can put them on blast instead of being a lil douche.
Sorry for the late response.
Have a nice night :mrmeph:

Ask an intelligent technical question and you will get an answer or a discussion.

Ask an open ended philosophical question, you get upset because your views and knowledge dont match up those with higher brain power.

Good luck putting a S13 DCC into an S14. DO NOT INSTALL IT. Put it in.
