When me and my friends would cruise the strip on Clearwater Beach we would blast the local Love/Jazz channel for laughs. We thought it was funny hearing all the systems going just playing just rap and techno so we thought we would let everyone know about the Jazz channel
PS Jazz does'nt sound right with 2 12's

to be honest, it totally depends on what mood I'm in. sometimes I'll want to go crazy so me and some friends will toss in for say, Limp Bizkit (example). then sometimes I'm really hyper and need to let energy out, so I toss in some Ludacris or something, because for some reason, rappin gets my energy out, which is sometimes good but bad. well that's about it for me, like I said, totally depends on my mood.

I mostly listen to punk (AFI, NOFX, Bad Religion, etc) I also listen to Linken Park, Slipknot and anything else that sounds good. I have a couple rap cd's too, mostly from when I had a system in my car (I can't listen to rap with out bass!) and of course techno which I listen to alot too.

Well, while I can't match 90 gigs, my collection is fairly large as well, so I listen to a lot of different styles of music, from folk to drum n bass. Usually it's something electronic, but I do listen to everything pretty much.

BTW, some classical music really kicks ass.

I'll listen to everything, but I like tool and such things the best. Then after that comes trance and after that classic rock. Then after is all the other stuff. Opera & Country are the last.

90Gig! whoa! I thought my 10.5 was a lot! Well anyway, I listen to mostly umm rock (P.O.D., Incubus, Primus, System of a down, 311, Tool, Perfect circle, ect...) I like some jazz and a little techno, but only sometimes. I really hate country and pop, rap is pretty lame too (...awates flames from whacked )

I listen to just about everything. I mostly like...I guess you could call it power rock...Metallica, Machinehead, Incubus, Linkin Park, Nickelback, etc. Then comes classic rock...Led Zepeline, Boston, Rolling Stones, CCR, Journey, etc. Then comes alternative and what I call wannabe punk (I don't really like much true punk )...Foo Fighters, Oleander, Chili Peppers, Blink 182, Green Day, Eve 6, etc. Then there's some contemporary Christian (DC Talk, Audio Adrenaline) and modern country (Diamond Rio). Throw in just a very small amount of rap and pop...and that pretty much raps it up. Yep...I'll listen to pretty much anything.;) Of course I will enjoy it more whenever I get my amp fixed (or replaced) and my mighty 8's re-boxed.

TRANCE TRANCE TRANCE TRANCE TRANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As uplifting, exhilirating and adrenalised as poss.
The stuff that makes you feel like (this is how i always see it in my minds eye) like you could run like that terminator2 guy who chases Arnold Schw... when there driving away in the car and you can see him sprinting after the car like a machine, eyes wild never tiring and he could do that for miles and still run straight through a brick wall and keep going.Getting stronger and stronger and stronger. Get the idea?
Fitness, endorphin pumping exhilirating trance.
I drive to it , i train to it , i run to it and i get as high as a kite.
Also real quality exhilirating electric guitar sounds.
No Quarter (LedZep)
Nothing else matters (Metallica)
I`m also heavily into The Foo Fighters at mo. Exceelent tunes in all that noise. Does anyone know where i can get software to remove the vocals from a track cos i want to do it to somemore Foo stuff and loop it on my site.
Also now napster has gone is there anywhere where i can get all the music i want online. I dont mind paying a small subscription fee or something (well i do mind really) but I use my Trance up like a Junky uses his gear up.I need more more more!!!

Krunko, you have good taste! I've heard of all but Zao and Chevelle for rock and I've heard most of the emo stuff too. ...Been going to POD shows since they released brown and were playing in churches with like 30 people, personally I liked their sound better back then but *shrugs* oh well, they still rock. Heh, I didn't know anybody else had heard of reggie and the full effect, they are pretty weird but cool. I saw GRITS once, they were cool I guess but man, i really don't like hip-hop

KoRn, Godsmack, Lenny Kravitz, Deftones, Staind, 311, Rage Against the Machine, Prodigy, Static-X, Pearl Jam, Limp Bizkit, System of a Down (the new CD ROCKS!!!), Metallica, Bush, No Doubt, Veruca Salt, Orgy, Incubus, Offspring, Fuel... you get the point!
oh yeah, any Guns N' Roses too!!!

Can't stand teeny bopper boy bands, girl bands, rap (especially Eminem and Kid Rock!), country and classical.

Speaking of music, I love Pink Floyd. Pretty much everything from Rage Against the Machine to Donna Lewis is in my CD collection someplace - and I'll listen to any of it, but Pink Floyd is far and away my favorite.

So much, in fact, that I'm considering ... well, okay, first off my hood has scratches and dents in it. They're all small, which is why if you look at the pic I posted awhile back, you'd never even notice them. But, when you see it in person, well, they're ugly. So, partly to cover them up, and partly because I'm such the fan I am, (and also mildly because I have a bit of an art school background), I'm considering putting a huge Dark Side of the Moon prism image (if you don't know what I mean, I'll post a picture of album cover) across my hood.

I mean, the car is, after all, black.

Uhh .. what'd'ya think?

JeffNJ
09-26-2001, 01:12 PM
Ok, in reference to above, here's what the album cover looks like for all you non-'Pink Floyd fans' ...

http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000002U82.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

So, figure the white beam and the rainbow being emitted may not be at those exact angles, as I might adjust them to cover the most imperfections as possible. I'd make the bulk of the design using electrical tape of different colors.

I think, if done well, it could look pretty cool. I think I have the skill to complete this cleanly, and it would cover some dents while proudly showing off how much I love Floyd.

Of course, it may also be completely insane since the hood really doesn't look bad at all from a distance. I asked a friend who's a huge Floyd fan and she's wondering why I havn't done it yet. But I'm asking you people, as car fans, for input because - well - music happened to come up.

ca18guy
09-26-2001, 01:19 PM
If your that into the band to plaster the hood of your car with one of there album covers, go for it (I would just goto a junk yard and get another hood though, if it's that bad). I should just fore warn you though, that to people who don't know that it is in reference to Pink Floyd, a triangle and a rainbow represent a totally different thing, if you get what I'm saying.

JeffNJ
09-26-2001, 01:42 PM
I thought about that. I'm hoping it's a recognizable enough symbol, but I have considered the possibility it isn't. And, I know what else that's frequently associated with.

I can't find a new one in a junkyard, by the way.

When you open the album, the green light in the rainbow does a cool heart-beat meter thing. I was also thinking of trying to do that with the green stripe. It might make it look a little different from that other rainbow symbol. When all else fails though, a nice little 'Pink Floyd' sticker might just get the job done.

Something like, oh I dunno, this...

Ok, I just looked at my hood and tried to envision a Floydian design on it. I gotta say, uhm, yeah - that's not gonna work. I mentioned the idea to Liz, as I said above, and she pushed for the idea. But I think the bottom line is that she's a bigger music fan than I am a car fan. I could never do that to a 240. Shame on me.

Music for cruising. Well can depend on my mood. I like rap, techno, some euro, some greek, but it needs to have a uptempo and be a fast beat, and a little aggressive. NewsBoys, DC Talk, Rebecca St. James, Omega Vibes, Dr. Dre, Bon Jovi ect...

HAH, got you all beat I listen to pretty much everthing from Brooks n Dunn to Rage Against the Machine. Don't like pop, or much rap or techno.

Some bands (in no particular order): Clint Black, Disturbed, POD, RATM, CHILI PEPPERS!!!!, Alien Ant Farm, Collective Soul, J-5, Toby Keith, Darrel Whorley, Cake, Godsmack, Depeche Mode, Guns n Roses, Alice in Chains, Tool, Gorrilaz, Black Sabbath, Foo Fighters, lookin forward to the new CD from Incubus, Outkast, Travis Tritt, Creed, The Artist Known Again As Prince, ACDC, 3 Doors Down, Tom Petty, 'Tallica, Tim McGraw, Linkin and Limp Bizkit and the list goes on

Classical doesn't quit hit it when I'm driving, I leave that for home. I feel so inadequate though with my mere 1.5 gigs of mp3s and couple dozen CDs. . .

I don't quite get what everybody has against Country. Most I've spoken with about it have rarely, if ever, heard a full country song. I can always find a country song appropriate to my mood, be it angry, sad, happy, or just driving. . .
