What causes turbo's to sieze and can a rebuild kit remedy the situations? Whats the difference between Ball Bearing, floating and standard turbo's when it comes to rebuilding them.. Can siezed turbo's be fixed?

Just some general questions.

if you can avoid it dont start with a seized turbo. could be lots of things, but mostly coked bearings, probably

no he means its a lot more trouble than you probably want. if you had some pics it'd be a lot easier to tell you whats wrong with it.

thats the other thing that I would have suspected, and if that is the case, then the turbo is fuxored. if the fins are stuck on something, then they probably hit at high speeds, and also chipped the wheel. your bearings are shot, and the shaft has too much play. you could rebuild it, but for the 250 bucks that would cost + the new wheels, its worth it just to go for a new turbo, maybe an upgrade to T28? ;)

I assume you are talking about your T25
