Serious answer... It doesnt. It serves no function at all. Its strickly for looks. i like the way it flows with the Zs rear. I may be the first and only one whose done this but who cares LOL. I like it.

Oh no I just meant it could mount on the front bar (facing forward) haha. GLWS.
