Hey guys, I have been searching for a while (driving with no heat in Ohio....) and I can't seem to solve my problem. I have an s13 hatch. Now the blower motor doesn't seem to want to kick on.
I have done the following:
Took my blower out and put it in a buddy's car - it worked fine in his but not mine
Put the resistor in my buddy's car - worked fine in his car but not mine
swapped relays with his (one behind the radio and under the hood (acc)) - still wont work in my car
checked the fuses - all good but replaced them anyway for the sake of my sanity.
UPDATE:
The acc relay under the hood top two prongs read 6-8V, bottom two prongs read 12V
a/c relay, top two = 12v bottom, two = 0v
resistance is 2ohms on all relays
power at the blower motor = 6-8V
power at the fuse box = 0V (for both fuses)
power at control module 8-10V (all the same no matter the setting)
Anyone have an idea as to what is going on?
My pass window stopped rolling up and down recently along with the rear wiper just doesn't work any more.
And no it wasn't like a slow, oh look those motors are slowly going away.. it was a sudden stop. Not all at once though.
The car is really clean and I just put new carpeting in it and nothing looked bad. So I'm really lost.
Odd extra fact: The motor quit the same night as a HUGE rain storm where the houses near the house where I was living at the time were flooding (ours didn't). I drove through some DEEP water on my way back that night. I mean almost up to the doors. I drove through it because I had a kitten, 2 weeks old, I was caring for and ran out of formula.
