So I'm new to this forum but have dealt with my ka24de for a while. Finally wanting to do a sr20det swap. Found a decent price on a entire s13 front end so I can do the front conversion when I do the motor and Trans. Possible rhd conversion still mulling on that one. I started the motor before removing it from the s13 chassis and noticed a huge oil leak I mean 2 qts in5 second of running. Pulled the motor and found a threaded hole in the bottom of the oil filter plate below the oil pressure sender that points straight down towards the motor mount does anyone know what hooks up there or does it just need to be plugged? Nothing was hooked up there when I purchased it and I'm not entirely familiar with jdm engines.

Maybe they moded it for oil pressure gauge sensor or custom oil line fitting. Just find something to screw it there and plug it up.

This is the hole. Thats what I was thinking about doing. just wanted to make sure from someone that knows this motor better than me if that was there for a special reason or someone just put it there for something they had on it
:edit:not sure if the picture posted or not

Looks like they had an oil cooler on it. Which they removed and left the sandwich plate. Take the oil filter off and take the plate off.
