Which Build would you do ?

Ok im still in the process of looking for a donor car but i havent decided completely on the final build plans so what would some of you do with the end goal being something that COULD be daily driven (most likely not will be but incase it might end up being the daily), could compete in AutoX, could compete in Drift Comp, and looks clean and newer , and power everything.
(we are also looking for it to be a highway monster and i know these are a lot of things to do but its meant for an all around good built car)

All of them are pretty much based on this : SPL coilovers, Swaybars, Tien Tie Rods, upgraded Control Arms, Rims, Tires, 3" full TUrbo exhaust, LSD in the rear (havent decided).FMIC, (yes this will make for a somewhat harsh daily suspension setup but i can live with it) the motor will be as it stands now a RB25DET, with new pumps for water and oil off an N1 and stage II clutch , and perhaps a new turbo. (however if someone wants to comment on the adventures of a RB26DETT in a S14 id like to hear )

but here is where it varies:

1. S14 Zenki with EDM headlights, spoilerless,final Konnexion kit,
2. S14 Zenki with S15 conversion
3. S14 Zenki with Kouki Conversion and Final Konnexion Kit

Yes to many of you this is maybe "ricy" but it completes the build the car and its just as important as whats under the hood as you see most of my build is focused around the motor and suspension. I will no go SR as it doesnt hit the standards i want and that is somewheres in teh 400-500hp range so the motor options im left with are RB25det and the 26DETT. so opions suggestions , specific parts you woudl suggest are all welcome and im prepared for the critism as well im just looking for feedback from a few ppl.

I like em all i would be happy with any of them haha and yes there is a good banking for all of this the starting budget is 13k the rest will have to be bought later down the road to finish up. Im just looking at what you guys think about my general plans on the build.

Hmmm.... Too many of you guys come and go. That is why many of the Zilvia guys are not responding to your thread. When you are dealing with that much money, then you should be your only influence. Getting people to make a car combo as if it was a game, is just being gay. If you can make it, good for you,, make it! When people read theis threads, it gives them the compleate opposite of your written intentions. My personal opinion, is that you care of how your car looks more then it perforrmes. I got a rb26 for my car and my car has been 3 different colors for the past four years and I could give a rats ass on what people think about that, that would be ricealistic thinking. Yes I am going to paint the car, but its on my 3rd or 4rth priority. If you want to make a car, then make it. If you are worried of what other people think, then you have failed...

I bet your car will be the best looking 240sx EVER, AND it will be THE absolutely 100% most powerful 240sx EVER. ^^^ :rofl: :rofl: Since im the nice guy, ill be nice. i'd LIKE to see an rb26 in a zenki, and keep it zenki. I kno the s15 lights look so nice, but i'd rather put that money into suspention, or if its a highway monster, i'd split it some what half n half between engine n suspention. It doesnt take too much money to make 400+hp from an rb26. BTW, i like Zenki better than S15. Zenki > S15 Conv. :rawk:

Edit: After re-reading your second post, i'd say save S15 conv. for LATER. Spend the intital budget on getting the engine in the car and working, then build suspention/chassis, but im not saying over board, n spend the rest on the motor.

the initial budget is for the motor and suspension work. (credit card? umm no ive saved for a lot of years for my build project) Wow you guys just dont like to give opinions. If you like to drive around like a honda car thats fine 4 or 5 different paint colors is your choice to me thats rice just like how the honda kids run aorund with 4 or 5 different color cars cause they dont paint their parts. I perfer one color. Again i was just looking for what you guys think about styling. Maybe someone had some suggestions that i perhaps missed. I know the direction im goin with my build already i was thinking maybe i missed something or MAYBE some of you "Veterans" had something USEFUL that i could use. MA i trying to be unique ..nope .. but really none of you are unique cause theres someone else with the same swap and build its ALL been done before.

Mods can just lock the thread since no real good advice will be given.

here's a 'real' opinion then - based on what you typed your just another kid that treats a car as an extension of his ego.

looks are just as important as what's under the hood? no.

why would a 'veteran' be able to tell you how your car should look better then you can? it's YOUR fucking car.

you should spend that budget on the only thing you'll take with you - driving ability. all modifications to the car should cater to learning to drive/drift/autox/hpde/drag whatever the fuck you want. the car is just a car, and despite the $$$ you dump into it you will move on to another car in a few years.

because of that, money on extraeneous mods like s15 headlights or edm glass zenki lights are better spent on a helmet, spare tires and track time.

THAT i can agree with, your right i treat the car as an extension of myself.Is it really THAT bad that someone wants a car that can perform AND look nice ? why are most of you slapping on S13 conversions then with your SRs ? S13 conversion does nothing for performance. Neither do bling bling wheels so why spend the money on Advans when you can get the lightweight rims and size from other companies for cheaper? Why do you buy Bride seats when you can get cheaper seats that do just as well? theres a lot we all put our money into that maybe we dont NEED but its for comfort and what we want. BUT i have a track car already (my impreza) that i use for AutoX and soon ill be hitting up pocono and limerock as my friends who are instructors are naggin me to get on the track already and quit playing around. This is just a project for me that will see a few events on the track and then who knows whats goin to happen with it i just enjoy the build process.

Getting lightweight rims and size and OFFSET is not cheap!!! (unless you get used wheels) Sure you can get some cheap lightweight 17x7's but the width and offset is gonna suck. Wider equals better plus the lower the offset the wider the track. Which is also a benifit. Why do you think SOOO many people have 5Zigens FN01R-C's? Relatively inexspensive and good sizes/offsets....

Most of us are not buying brides. Prices are crazy...but seats are also an issues with the 240 b/c many of the cheaper seats sit too high b/c of the way the seats are mounted. Stock seats suck if you ever track the car, so it's natural to upgrade. Plus, Bride makes good quality seats. For some people that's a good enough reason. Personally, I can't justify the money...

As far as aero goes. I'd go with OEM stuff if I were you (JDM aero, etc.) Or maybe a front lip and some sideskirts... Keep the Zenki front!!!

Get the car, do the performance stuff. Go autoX/drift/drag what have you and enjoy the car. Then think about a kit or whatever...

i think you found your answer then. maybe i was a little harsh... u don't seem too bad IMO. at least you're on the track. so an answer to your original question :

s15 front = rice
s14 edm = waste of $$$
kouki conversion = ? just get a kouki. personally i prefer my confused looking zenki.

for clean headlights, just go on nico and look for stickgoats guide to polishing s14 lamps.

for the body, OEM aero kits are best. painted, of course.

our wheels are expensive b/c its hard to find good sized wheels relative to other kinds of cars. otherwise i don't think too many 240sx ppl are nutso about blowing money on their cars. alot of ppl here would also prefer stock front ends to s13 / s15 conversions, myself included. hm. but if i had a s13, i might put a silvia front end and typex tails on it. theres a little rice in everyone. ;)

man, if i had it to do all over again i wouldnt have bought the kouki tail lights or spoiler. thats about $700 that could have been spent on an LSD or new shocks and springs or a number of other things that would actually be helpful on a track. sure it looks nice and unique (around my area at least), but i dont notice that when im driving. the point is to know what youre doing before you spend your money.

which is exactly why im trying to get my build laid out before i go ahead and get the parts. (well anymore parts). I love the S14 and the if i was goin to go ahead with the Kouki conversion i wouldstill get the zenki cause theres no reason to go newer than a 95 or 96 when the motor and the suspension and tranny are coming right out of it so why buy something in the 98 with low miles when your goin to be throwing it out from day 1 ? im goin with the zenki and a final konnexion or Vertex front air dam.. why ? cause i need something with a large opening to provide air flow for the FMIC so no stock lip or stock bumper will suffice. thank you for providing some reasonable answers. Taillights i dont care about and the car is goin to be spoilerless why? cause they look sexy without a wing. Also id have this car now but in my area finding one is near impossible and is taking forever to find the right donor car.

Everyday I think about keeping the zenki, getting the version select vertex knock off, and putting some hot ass wheels. Because everytime I look at heartwork's car I have to rub one out.

I'm torn between kouki and zenki :(
