sup guys... the car is up right now and i have the driveshaft out. what i don't know is which way the damn oil seal goes in the car. the one that was in there looks totally different (proabably why its leaking) then the OEM one i got. i guess whoever had the car b4 did a crappy fix...
anyway the seal is kind of flat on one side and has a coil on the other. which side faces in? the FSM doesn't have a picture of it. thanks!

The part with the coil will sit inside.
Flatside/coil ---> TRANNY

Mine is leaking pretty bad. Will the KA rear tranny seal fit on the SR trans? I'm guessing yes, but not sure.
I am also missing that boot that is susposed to go on the end of tranny, but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the leaking. Thanks!

Yes, the KA rear trans seal will fit perfect.
That missing piece is the dust collar. I suspect there might be a really small drip-drop leakage w/o it, since it pressed against the rear seal, making a tighter seal. or maybe not :P
